Rules & Scoring

CFB Snake

In snake draft contests, participants will draft a lineup via a live snake draft. After the draft, trades or other roster management activity will not be allowed. Contest results will be determined by the total points accumulated by each individual lineup entry (scoring rules summarized below).

Participation in each contest must be made only as specified in the Terms of Use. Failure to comply with these Terms of Use will result in disqualification and, if applicable, prize forfeiture.

CFB Overtime Scoring Rules

All overtime scoring plays (touchdowns, field goals, extra points and 2Pt conversions) will be included in the total fantasy points for any player involved in a CFB game that goes into overtime.

Lineup Requirements

Lineups will consist of 7 players and must include players from at least 2 different college football games.

The 7 roster positions are:

Your highest scoring players are automatically your starting lineup. Your non-starting player will make up your bench and their fantasy points will not count toward your team's overall fantasy point total.

Player Pool

The Player Pool will consist of all CFB players expected to be on the active roster for any team scheduled to play in the contest Game Set. Occasionally a player may be missing from the Player Pool due to transfers or other unforeseen circumstances.

Position Eligibility

Player positions are determined at the sole discretion of DraftKings.

Draft Start Time

Snake drafts will begin once the required number of entrants enter the contest (snake draft contests must fill completely). There will be a two minute countdown period between the time the contest fills and the time the countdown begins for the first pick of the draft. The draft order is determined at random once the contest fills. You can withdraw from a snake draft at any time before the contest fills.

Pick Clock

Snake drafts will have fast draft settings. You will have up to 30 seconds to make each pick. Fast drafts typically take a few minutes to a few hours to complete.

Draft Requirements

In order to be eligible for prizes in snake draft contests you must either edit the pre-draft rankings, add a player to your queue during the draft, or make a manual draft pick during the draft. Failure to take at least one of the prior three actions will result in an invalid entry and you will not be eligible for prizes and your entry fee will be forfeited.

Pre-Draft Rankings

You can create your own personalized ordering of a snake draft player pool by editing the pre-draft rankings. Your last saved version of the pre-draft rankings are automatically imported for you as soon as a draft starts. You can edit your pre-draft rankings at any time and it will apply to every draft in the game set. If you edit and save your pre-draft rankings while in the middle of an ongoing draft, your new rankings will pass through to all ongoing drafts in the game set. If you do not edit the pre-draft rankings before a draft starts, you will use the default DraftKings player rankings.

Auto-Draft

If you do not make a pick before your pick clock expires, we will draft a player for you based on the following logic:

1. We will pick the highest player from your queue
2. We will pick the highest ranked player from your pre-draft rankings

On certain occasions, DraftKings will at their own discretion "disable" players who are no longer eligible to score fantasy points. Those players can still be manually drafted, but they will not be auto-drafted from a user's pre-draft rankings or their queue.

Cancelled, Postponed, and Rescheduled Games

In the event that a game is canceled or postponed & rescheduled to a time within the original Scoring Period and this change is made LESS than 24 hours before a Game Set's start, the game will be included in the Game Set and players listed to play in that game will be eligible to accrue points. If the game is rescheduled for a time OUTSIDE the original Scoring Period, the game will be disabled from the Game Set and players listed to play in that game will NOT be eligible to accrue points. Players who you selected for your roster as of the time of the lock of the disabled game will remain in your roster and will accrue zero points.

The Scoring Period for CFB is defined as the timeframe between the scheduled start of the first game within the Game Set and 11:59pm ET on the first Wednesday after the last scheduled game within the Game Set. In the event that a game is cancelled or postponed & rescheduled to any time (both outside & within the original Scoring Period) and this change is made MORE than 24 hours before a Game Set's start, it is at the sole discretion of DraftKings to include or remove the game from that given Game Set.

In the event a game is postponed, DraftKings will make a decision no later than 11:59pm ET of the day of the game on how to handle the postponed game.

DraftKings may choose to adjust the Scoring Period for a Game Set at their sole discretion to accommodate schedule changes at any time before 12:00am ET on the day after the Game Set is scheduled to start.

Any games that are disabled will be indicated as such on Draft Screens. Emails and other notifications may also be used to notify users of disabled games.

If canceled or games rescheduled for a later date result in a Game Set including only one active game, then all contests for that Game Set will be canceled and refunded.

Games are "known" to be canceled or postponed once their status is updated as such by DraftKings' CFB stats-provider, STATS LLC.
