Stephanie Sherman Named Chief Marketing Officer of DraftKings
Early Employee in Company History Will Now Lead Integrated Marketing Efforts
BOSTON—Jan. 25, 2022—After joining DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) in 2013 as one of its first 15 employees, Stephanie Sherman today assumes the role of Chief Marketing Officer, a move that will consolidate all marketing functions under her leadership. An instrumental team member from the early days of DraftKings, Sherman will continue to drive and scale future marketing as she oversees brand and agency campaigns, media buying and influencer strategy, among other functions.

In her previous role as Senior Vice President of Marketing at DraftKings, Sherman was focused on customer acquisition and direct response marketing, areas which have been crucial as market share competition for real-money gaming rises. From a marketing perspective, Sherman has helped guide the ongoing business expansion of DraftKings for nearly a decade as the company has expanded to include daily fantasy, sports betting, online casino to digital collectibles and has necessitated increasingly savvy and data-driven performance. Based on her significant contributions and growth over time, Sherman has been recognized the past two years in a row by Adweek as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Sports.”

As the latest member of DraftKings’ executive team, Sherman will further optimize marketing capabilities as a multi-brand organization. Prior to serving in roles of increasing responsibility at DraftKings, Sherman managed acquisition marketing for Vistaprint.
