DraftKings Racing Product Expands into Delaware, New Mexico and Rhode Island
DK Horse Rebranding to “DraftKings Racing” and to Appear Directly Within the DraftKings Sportsbook App
BOSTON – March 31, 2026 – DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) has unveiled its new horse racing product, DraftKings Racing, in Delaware, New Mexico and Rhode Island, expanding its horse racing footprint to 26 states nationwide. For the first time, customers in these states can experience horse racing with DraftKings and access pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing directly within the DraftKings Sportsbook app, delivering a seamless, integrated experience.
The expansion comes as DraftKings transitions from DK Horse, a standalone horse racing app offered as a white label affiliate of Churchill Downs’ TwinSpires, to DraftKings Racing, an embedded product within the DraftKings Sportsbook app that includes features like shared wallet functionality and integrated promotions.
“With Triple Crown season approaching, we’re bringing DraftKings Racing to three new states at the perfect time to deliver an unmatched horse racing experience,” said Johnny Avello, Director of Race and Sports Operations at DraftKings. “By offering horse racing directly within the DraftKings Sportsbook app, we’re making it more convenient for customers to enjoy racing alongside their other favorite sports — all in one place, with one wallet and a more streamlined experience.”
DraftKings plans to continue rolling out DraftKings Racing within its Sportsbook app on a state-by-state basis. DK Horse will remain available as a functioning standalone app in states where it currently operates — Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming — and will be phased out as DraftKings Racing is introduced in each jurisdiction. The integration comes as DraftKings prepares to launch a Super App, “DraftKings Sports & Casino,” bringing together Sportsbook, Predictions, Casino and Lottery into one unified experience, with access tailored to each jurisdiction.
DraftKings Racing, while available within the DraftKings Sportsbook app, operates under separate regulatory frameworks from online sports betting. As a result, horse racing availability is determined separately on a state-by-state basis, even when accessed through the Sportsbook app.
