(Nasdaq: DKNG) and Sports Illustrated hosted the second annual Augusta After Dark Presented by Venmo and Velocity Black, Produced by Authentic Live, a division of Authentic Brands Group, on Wednesday, April 8, in Augusta, Georgia. The exclusive, invite-only experience brought together DraftKings’ most loyal customers alongside athletes, celebrities, and influential figures from across sports, entertainment, and golf for a distinctive evening of hospitality and live entertainment during one of the sport’s most iconic weeks.
Headlined by a private performance from Dave Grohl, the event continued to build on the growing tradition of cultural gatherings surrounding one of golf’s biggest spring weeks, blending sports, music, and entertainment in an intimate setting. Now in its second year, Augusta After Dark Presented by Venmo and Velocity Black further established itself as a standout moment in Augusta, bringing together loyal DraftKings customers and notable guests for an unforgettable evening.
Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed elevated culinary offerings, handcrafted cocktails, and curated hospitality experiences designed to celebrate the energy and excitement of the week in Augusta. Guests in attendance included Dave Grohl, Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Hart, Ray Lewis, Victor Cruz, J.R. Smith, and more alongside prominent figures from professional golf, sports media, entertainment, and business. In addition to presenting partners Venmo and Velocity Black, the event featured support from HydroJug and Reebok, whose presence helped elevate the guest experience through premium hospitality, on-site activations, and curated brand moments. HydroJug offered custom giveaways for attendees, while Reebok sponsored a chipping competition alongside a branded product display. Reebok, alongside Vince, also outfitted event staff, adding a stylish, elevated touch throughout the experience.
Venmo, one of DraftKings’ payment services, also added some friendly competition to the event with an on-site golf simulator challenge, awarding grand prizes for the first three guests who shot closest to the pin.
