DraftKings to Relaunch “The GM Shuffle” Podcast with Michael Lombardi and New Host Femi Abebefe

Former Pro Football Executive and Sports Analyst Reprise Popular Podcast to Air on DraftKings and VSiN YouTube Channels

BOSTON — (March 30, 2022) — DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) announced today that it will relaunch the successful GM Shuffle podcast beginning on Thursday, March 31, featuring championship-winning NFL executive, Michael Lombardi, and introducing new host and sports analyst, Femi Abebefe. The duo, who have recently worked together as hosts on VSiN, The Sports Betting Network, will tackle a wide range of pro football topics on the weekly podcast. Lombardi and Abebefe will break down the topics that listeners and fans need to know about players, coaches, organizations, the draft, free agency, and other NFL storylines in a way that only they can. In addition to reprising the top-rated audio podcast, The GM Shuffle will introduce a video version available via DraftKings’ YouTube Channel and VSiN’s YouTube Channel on Thursday, March 31.

“We are thrilled to enhance our DraftKings programming by adding an established and successful podcast that provides fans with an inside look at front office operations,” said Stacie McCollum, Vice President of Programming at DraftKings. “Michael Lombardi and Femi Abebefe will entertain while providing a credible and unique perspective of the NFL.”

Throughout his three-decade long career with the NFL, Lombardi worked as an NFL executive with the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and Oakland Raiders alongside NFL legends, including Bill Walsh, Al Davis and Bill Belichick.

“I’m extremely excited for the return of The GM Shuffle and that it will be under the DraftKings and VSiN umbrella,” said Lombardi. “It’s been great working with Femi at VSiN, and I can’t wait to team up for the podcast, where we will argue, laugh, debate and give informed, unfiltered views on the happenings in the NFL each and every week.”

Lombardi’s body of knowledge includes 35 years of experience in professional football as a coach, executive, and media analyst, and informs the unique lens through which he views the fast-paced professional league. In addition, he brings extensive media experience, with previous broadcasting roles at CBS Sports, Showtime and the NFL Network, as well as bylines on numerous print and digital media platforms, including The Athletic, NFL.com and Sports Illustrated.

Abebefe brings a fresh take and years of sports media experience to the popular podcast. He currently hosts a number of VSiN shows across platforms, delivering the news and analysis sports bettors need to inform their wagering decisions. Abebefe joined VSiN from KOMO TV in Seattle after spending his first seven and a half years in sports media as a local sports anchor at multiple Pacific Northwest markets. Growing up as a sports junkie, it wasn't until a trip to Reno for the Men’s College Basketball Tournament one March, where Abebefe began to pay attention to the betting markets and how they're affected on a day-to-day basis in the world of sports.

The GM Shuffle will relaunch on March 31. Fans can expect a new episode each Thursday through the NFL off season and two episodes each week, on Mondays and Thursdays, during the NFL season. Special episodes of The GM Shuffle will be published to cover the NFL draft on Monday, April 25 and Thursday, April 28. Audio episodes will be available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify and everywhere podcasts are found, while video will be available via DraftKings’ YouTube Channel and VSiN’s YouTube Channel.
