We head into a Wednesday slate with just three games. In all fairness, this could have some high scoring potential but nowhere near the 50-60 point totals we easily saw on Monday. There is a chance that 35 points could cash in most 50-50’s and 40-45 points may be enough in some GPPs. Okay, let’s get to work!

Goalie

Corey Crawford ($9200) – It is just a bad night all around for goalie potential. However, if Crawford can make 40+ saves against a heavy possession type of team like Carolina then Philadelphia should not be all that bad. Then again, the Flyers did score seven on Jimmy Howard but Detroit never wins at Wells Fargo Arena. Chicago, well, has won a Stanley Cup in Philadelphia. This is going to be a crazy pick but hey, we have done worse. You never know when Philly goes low offense.

Others to Consider: Semyon Varlamov ($9000), Kari Lehtonen ($8700)

Center

Tyler Seguin ($9000) – This will be a tough one to stay away from. The center gets another game against a bottom five penalty kill and some defensemen in Calgary that can make some awful mistakes. Calgary does not exactly like to hold on to the puck long either so the pivot can play his power forward type of games mixed in with speed. Yes there can be a problem with that point slump of late but at some point, the breakout has to occur. Will Jamie Benn play? He is day to day with an injury suffered very late against Buffalo. Keep an eye on this!

Sean Monahan ($5700) – Let’s triple down this! Monahan is on the hottest line in the league right now, period! Plus Calgary is at home. If you need any more reason, I do not know what to tell you. The price is also just too good to pass up on. I still consider stacking that whole line in GPP’s because of the price. Dallas has been better of late but can Lehtonen hold the Flames to less than two goals in Calgary? That is dicey!

Others to Consider:  Claude Giroux ($8700), Matt Duchene ($7300).

Values: Josh Jooris ($3000), Marcus Kruger ($2800)

Winger

Johnny Gaudreau ($4900) – Dallas plays at a pace almost perfectly conducive to the way Calgary can play. Yes the Flames start out a bit slow at times. We all know that. However, Gaudreau has 12 points in his last nine games including six power play points. That is the biggest thing with this line is the special teams points. With this being so cheap, you could ironically afford to do a second stack in GPP’s.

Marian Hossa ($7800) – The price may be counterproductive but would you say no? Exactly! Hossa has 43 shots on goal in his last ten contests and over 20 scoring chances. Literally the line with Jonathan Toews has been such fun to watch. The only caveat is special teams but Hossa has been unlucky there. That could break out against a Flyers team that often views the penalty kill as a bad version of hot potato.

Others to Consider: Gabriel Landeskog ($7100), Jiri Hudler ($5300), Patrick Eaves ($4600)

Values: Ryan White ($3000), Matt Hendricks ($2900).

Defense

Dennis Wideman  ($6000) – With a goal and nine assists in his last ten games, Wideman has been on fire and he just keeps staying consistent with around three shots and three blocks per game. He is on the first unit power playing and first pairing which plays with the Monahan line. So that will lead to points and many point chances. This is the way to go and you can slide in Kris Russell at $5400 for a defensive pairing stack if necessary and it won’t hurt your cap much.

Alex Goligoski ($4700) – This is an unusual pick but Goligoski has earned it with two goals and six assists in his last ten contests. His blocked shots and shots on goal are actually very close to his season averages. It all comes down to offensive production for the top pairing defenseman. The longer John Klingberg takes to get back up to form, the more this benefits Goligoski. Play him as you will but you may be pleasantly surprised.

Others to Consider:  Mark Streit ($4500), Tyson Barrie ($4400), Oscar Klefbom ($3900)

Values:  Jan Hejda ($2800), Patrik Nemeth($2600)
