This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options every night.

High Priced First lines

Max Pacioretty ($7600) — Brendan Gallagher ($5300) — Tomas Plekanec ($6000)

This was my recommended line last night too… hope everyone played them ;). The Montreal first line has been on absolute fire of late and just put up a 7 point game versus the helpless Sabres. Tonight they get another helpless team in the Toronto Maple Leafs and there’s little reason to think that the Leafs will be able to slow down this unit down at all. Of the trio I love both Plekanec and Gallagher for cash games as they’ve been getting a lot of shots on net and are still very affordable. Look for another possible multi-point night from the hottest line on the hottest team in hockey.

Others: the line of Alexander Steen/Vladimir Tarasenko/Jori Lehtera for the Blues have a lot of potential and I love the savings you get with Lehtera manning centre, another great target tonight.

Value Trios

Adam Henrique ($4500) – Mike Cammalleri ($5000) – Lee Stempniak ($3200)

The first line of New Jersey has been producing of late and just potted a 7 point game versus Ottawa. Tonight they get the young Sabres who just got hammered via the Canadians first line last night. I love the value with this trio as all three are getting a ton of ice time and are the prime offensive force for a generally offensively inept Devils squad. In this spot I could see this trio dominating the Sabres young forwards much like the Habs did last night and again having a multi-point game. Using one or two of these players in cash games is a great idea tonight too.

Others: the line of Artemi Panarin/Patrick Kane/Artem Anisimov are in a great spot tonight too and still highly affordable.

Contrarian Pick

Sidney Crosby ($7900) – Patric Hornqvist ($5800) – Pascal Dupuis ($4900)

It’s hard to imagine Sid Crosby as a contrarian play but given his slow start to the season and the fact the Pens take on the notoriously stingy Predators today I doubt he’ll be very highly owned on DK. The Pens finally made some lineup changes and Sid’s new line mates could be exactly what the doctor ordered to jump start the Pens offense. Considering he has history of playing with both Hornqvist and Dupuis (and producing) don’t be shocked if you see this trio produce right out of the gate tonight. I love this line for use in tournies, a multi-point effort wouldn’t surprise me.
