This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options every night.

High Priced First lines

Tyler Seguin ($8800) – Patrick Sharp ($6200) – Jamie Benn ($8400)

The Stars first line has been a roll for basically the entire season as Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin are both near the league lead in points so far this year. Tonight on a medium slate I don’t think it’s a good idea to get cute and would recommend getting some exposure to this offensive dynamo. The Stars face the Oilers who give a ton of shots and have some of the weakest goaltending in the league. While the last couple games have been slow for this line this is the perfect spot for them to break back out with a big game, and I’d be shocked of they were held off the score sheet. Try and pay up for at least a couple of these players in your lineup tonight and think about using all three, there’s big game potential here.

Others: Also check out the Devils top line of Mike Cammalleri ($5200) – Adam Henrique ($5000) – Lee Stempniak ($3800) as mentioned in the NHL cheat sheet.

Value Trios

David Krejci ($6000) – Loui Eriksson ($5100) – Matt Belesky ($3900)

If you’ve been targeting the Calgary Flames with your skaters this season you’ve likely been doing alright. Tonight the Boston Bruins get the honour of facing the Flames and once again I think this is a matchup you can take advantage of. The Bruins have improved offensively this season and have now scored at least 3 goals in five of their last seven games. David Krejci has been one of their best offensive players all season and along with Loui Eriksson will see a lot of time on the first unit PP. Matt Belesky has had a slow start to the season but is coming on recently and has 12 SOG in his last two games. This line has big time potential tonight and I love them as a value stack for this slate.

Contrarian Pick

Leon Draisaitl ($4300) – Taylor Hall ($6900) – Jordan Eberle ($5100)

Targeting the Edmonton Oilers has been profitable for fantasy this season too, and using their top line has also been a good play many nights. The Dallas Stars are more than capable of giving up more than their fair share of scoring chances and the Oilers, even without McDavid, have the skill to make them pay. The top line of the Oilers has been quiet of late and Jordan Eberle has especially played poorly since coming back from injury. That being said he’s been promoted to play with Hall and Draisaitl and this matchup might facilitate a breakout. I love using all or part of this line for tournaments and think they’ll be vastly under owned compared to their counterparts on Dallas.
