This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
High Priced First lines
Jori Lehtera ($3900)/David Backes ($4600) – Vladimir Tarasenko ($7800) – Alex Steen ($6600)
This line has really been rolling lately and is being driven by budding superstar Vladimir Tarasenko who is now up to 6 points and 4 goals scored in his last 4 games. The Blues don’t have the easiest of matchups tonight but they will be at home and quite frankly I’m not sure if there’s much any team can do to shut down Tarasenko or the Blues first unit right now. With David Backes seeing time with this group on the power play you can think of using him or Jori Lehtera with Steen and Tarasenko. Backes has been more productive lately but Lehtera might see more playing time with the dynamic duo. Either way I like targeting this group tonight for a stack, they’re the Blues main source of offense at the moment.

Martin Hanzal ($4400) – Anthony Duclair ($4000) – Tobias Rieder ($4000)
I’ve been riding this trio a lot lately in my write-ups and they’ve come through for me so why not one more time. The Coyotes top line has been getting a lot of ice time and also been seeing the most work of any trio on the PP for the Coyotes over the past month or so. Tonight they get the Winnipeg Jets who have been pretty bad of late and had trouble keeping the puck out of their own net. The trio is up to 9 points in their last 3 games as a unit and facing a team who’s allowed the 5th most shots against in the league. These guys are great value once again.
Matt Duchene ($5600) – Nathan MacKinnon ($7500) – Gabriel Landeskog ($7000)
A lot of people will likely be targeting the Washington Capitals in this matchup but the other side has a lot of potential too. Matt Duchene has been absolutely tearing up the league lately with 8 points and 4 goals in his last 4 games and will be playing alongside Nathan McKinnon who also has 4 points in his last three games. With Gabriel Landeskog back from suspension this line will at full power tonight and I won’t be shocked if they give the solid Capitals all they can handle in this matchup between two pretty high powered offenses. This is a great line for tournaments as you can expect them to be lower owned than their counterparts from Washington.
