– Chicago Blackhawks vs. Edmonton Oilers – 5.5

Stud Goalies

Braden Holtby ($7,900): Over his last 10 games, Holtby has been nothing short of fantastic. In nine of those 10 outings he has given up two goals or less and sits tied for sixth among goalies in GAA with a 2.01 mark. His SV% is on the lower side for such a low GAA, sitting at only .919, but he will have a great chance to give the Capitals a productive game against the Red Wings and their 25th-ranked scoring offense that is only averaging 2.3 goals scored per game.

Top Line of the Night

Washington Capitals

Alex Ovechkin ($9,600) – Nicklas Backstrom ($6,700) – T.J. Oshie ($6,100)

This could be the moment that Capitals fans have been waiting all season for as coach Barry Trotz on Tuesday put Backstrom on the Caps top-line in practice with Ovie and Oshie and dropped Kuznetsov to the second-line. It’s unknown if this will be the line pairing on Wednesday night, but it is significant for the Capitals breaking up Kuznetsov and Ovechkin, as the duo leads the team in scoring with 17 and 16 points respectively. Ovechkin and Backstrom have great scoring history together so target them for your lineups. They are the best two playmakers that Oshie will have played with, and he could see a huge uptick in production and come in at a total value of $22,400.

Top Upside at Defense

Duncan Keith ($4,900): Keith has picked right back up with his production where he left off when he was injured last month. Keith only got six games into the season before a knee injury took him out until this past Saturday against St. Louis. In his two games back Keith has been fantastic. He is averaging almost 26 minutes of ice time on a nightly basis, has two points (1G, 1A), four SOG and three blocked shots. He has slotted back onto the Hawks top defense pairing and back onto the point of their top power-play unit, so roll him now and take advantage of the production before his price shoots.

Oscar Klefbom ($4,000): Klefbom has been coming on strong as of late despite the offensive struggles of the Oilers since the loss of Connor McDavid. Over his last five games Klefbom is a point-per-game player with two goals and three assists and has added great category coverage with 12 blocks and 12 shots on goal. He is seeing a lot of ice time skating in the Oilers top-four defensive rotation and is manning the point on their top power-play unit where he has three assists in his last 10 games.

Superstar to Build Lineups Around

Patrick Kane ($8,600): Kane is having the best start to a season of his career and has taken over the lead in the scoring race over Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. He leads the league in goals scored with 13, is tied for fourth with 15 assists and is seventh in shots on goal with 68. He comes in $1,000 less than Ovechkin and has the highest DFS FPPG at 5.9 per night.

Best Value Plays

Leon Draisaitl ($3,600): Draisaitl has found a great chemistry centering the Oilers top-line with Taylor Hall and has exceeded his total production from last season, nine points in 37 games, with13 points in only eight games this season. Draisaitl and Hall have picked up the scoring slack with the loss of Connor McDavid and have combined for 11 points in the five games since. Draisaitl is riding a three-game point streak that has seen him put up six points with two multi-point outings mixed in.

Artem Anisimov ($4,300): Anisimov has gelled with Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane centering the Blackhawks second-line, and his production numbers show that with 12 points in 18 games this season and on pace for a career scoring season. He has points in three of his last four games, including points in his last two games, and two of those games are multi-point efforts. The Blackhawks second-line has been a huge offensive force this season and they have the Oilers on Wednesday so take a chance on Anisimov at half the price his league-leading linemate comes in at.

There are no significant injuries affecting any of the players available in the player pool this evening.
