Madden Stream Results

Jets shut down Bills in AFC East Madden Simulation — 4/1/20

There wasn’t much offense to speak of when the Jets took on the Bills in Wednesday’s 1:00 p.m. ET Madden Simulation. In fact, the Bills didn’t register a single point in their 19-0 defeat. The Jets’ D/ST ($4,200, 18 DKFP) was dominant for those at the top of the leaderboard, registering four sacks and two fumble recoveries. While the Jets’ D/ST was a big winner, both Sam Darnold ($10,200, 12.84 DKFP) and Josh Allen ($10,400, 7.36 DKFP) put up disappointing performances.

Steelers narrowly defeat Jets in Madden simulation — 4/3/20

Time and time again we’ve seen tight ends absolutely dominate these Madden simulations and Friday night was no exception. Vance McDonald ($5,600; 12.6 DKFP) and Ryan Griffin ($5,400; 18.0 DKFP) were both nearly unstoppable in what eventually became a 20-17 victory for Pittsburgh over New York. McDonald led his team in receiving, racking up five catches for 86 yards – twice as many as the real McDonald managed in a single game in 2019. Griffin was also a beast, as the former sixth-round pick hauled in five passes for 70 yards along with the contests’ first touchdown. Still, it was Chris Boswell ($3,800; 11.0 DKFP) who got to play hero, nailing the game-winning 50-yard field goal as time expired.

Jets edge Chargers in Madden simulation — 4/9/20

Despite all coming into this evening’s Showdown slate with ownership rates below 40%, it was the skill-position players for New York that ended up having the biggest impact in Thursday’s tilt against Los Angeles. In fact, both Robby Anderson ($8,800; 15.4 DKFP) and Le’Veon Bell ($9,400; 13.5 DKFP) would find their way into the end zone in the Jets’ 17-10 victory, with Bell’s late score in the fourth quarter ultimately proving to be the difference. Demaryius Thomas ($3,800; 9.4 DKFP) also ended up being an integral fantasy asset, finishing the contest with five catches for 44 yards. Though he was captained in just 0.9% of lineups, the winning build featured the veteran at 1.5x value.

Broncos late rally grounds Jets in snow in Madden Stream — 4/18/20

In the first Madden Stream with snow, the Broncos scored three straight touchdowns after trailing 17-3 to beat the Jets, 23-17, in double overtime. The first two touchdowns that tied the game were caught by Courtland Sutton ($9,200; 32.9 DKFP), who finished with over 100 yards as he continued to be a contributor in every contest. The game-winner in overtime was hauled in my DaeSean Hamilton ($5,800; 21.7 DKFP), who had his best Madden performance to date while serving as a great option out of the slot. Those three touchdown throws also made Drew Lock ($9,800; 27.04) a great play as he helped his Broncos to improve to 2-2, which is the same record the Jets have after their loss.

Robby Anderson and the Jets dominate Falcons in Madden sim — 4/20/20

Now a member of the Panthers, Anderson ($8,600; 43.2 DKFP) scored every offensive touchdown for the Jets in this sim. Atlanta’s secondary was exposed, with Anderson posting a 3-159-3 line, good for 64.8 DKFP in the captain spot, where he was 3.4% owned. Sam Darnold ($10,000; 24.22 DKFP) was obviously a nice stacking piece, but Matt Ryan ($11,200; 24.76 DKFP) was still slightly more productive. The Falcons spread it around, with Devonta Freeman ($8,200; 18.4 DKFP) and Russell Gage ($3,400; 14.8 DKFP) each catching touchdowns, and Julio Jones ($10,800; 24 DKFP) going for 141 yards through the air. The Falcons were driving with a chance to get back in the game, but Jets’ DST ($4,600; 12 DKFP) brought a fumble back to the house, sealing the victory.

Colts top Jets in an action packed Madden simulation — 4/23/20

Who knew we’d see so much offense between these two teams? Even with the Jets falling, 35-32, Sam Darnold ($10,600; 28.28 DKFP) went for 332 yards and three touchdowns, peppering Jamison Crowder ($6,600; 36.9 DKFP) with targets. Crowder finished with a 9-129-2 line, and scored 55.35 DKFP at 2.3% ownership in the captain spot. Demaryius Thomas ($5,000; 20.6 DKFP) also went for over 100 yards through the air, while Le’Veon Bell ($8,800; 22.6 DKFP) rushed for 100 yards and a score. Nyheim Hines ($2,800; 30.1 DKFP) led the Colts as an elite value play, rushing for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns, hauling in three passes for another 54 yards.

Bucs undefeated run stops here; Jets win, 24-9 — 4/26/20

Tampa Bay started the Madden simulations 6-0, but looked totally lost in their Sunday afternoon simulation against the Jets. New York cruised to a comfortable 24-9 win behind big games from Sam Darnold ($10,000; 28.24 DKFP), Robby Anderson ($9,200; 26 DKFP) and Le’Veon Bell ($9,000; 19.5 DKFP), who formed an unstoppable “Big Three” for Gang Green. Darnold threw three touchdowns and for over 300 yards while Anderson and Bell each hauled in a score and Anderson had over 100 yards. The Bucs got a decent game from O.J. Howard ($7,800; 19 DKFP), who had over 100 yards receiving, but couldn’t overcome Jameis Winston’s ($11,000; 14.56 DKFP) first bad performance. Winston failed to throw a touchdown and did throw an interception.

Jets defeat Raiders in Wednesday’s simulated matchup — 4/29/20

The Jets narrowly edged the Raiders, 25-23. Sam Darnold ($10,600, 20.54 DKFP) had a big afternoon through the air with 281 passing yards and two touchdowns. Jamison Crowder ($7,600, 30.80 DKFP) was the main beneficiary of Darnold’s strong performance, catching six passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs ($9,000, 14 DKFP) found his way into the end zone for the Raiders to go along with 80 rushing yards in a losing effort.

Jets hang on to beat Cowboys, 13-8 — 5/1/20

It was a Madden simulation only a defensive coordinator could love, as both defenses came to play in Big D. The Jets’ DST ($3,200; 12 DKFP) forced four turnovers and held the Cowboys to six offensive points behind a great effort from S Jamal Adams, who forced a fumble, recovered a different fumble and had an interception. The Cowboys’ DST ($4,200; 10 DKFP) also had a strong showing including a late safety against Sam Darnold ($10,600; 9.42 DFKP), who didn’t have a good game despite rushing for the only touchdown in the contest. Both kickers ended up being decent plays, as Sam Ficken ($3,600; 7.0 DKFP) and Kai Forbath ($4,000; 7.9 DKFP) both hit two FGs. Amari Cooper ($10,800; 17.6 DKFP) went over 100 yards to be the best skill-player option.

Jets double-up Titans in Madden simulation — 5/4/20

Well, that wasn’t exactly the most exciting edition of Madden After Dark we’ve ever seen, but there were some notable performances in New York’s 20-10 victory over Tennessee. First and foremost, we have to talk about Le’Veon Bell ($8,800; 20.7 DKFP). For the longest time, we were getting nothing from the former Steelers’ RB; but, with less than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Bell broke free just outside the red zone for a game-cementing touchdown. Bell would finish with four receptions and 117 total scrimmage yards. As for the Titans, A.J. Brown ($8,400; 20.4 DKFP) was the lone bright spot in a dreary offensive performance, with the rookie catching five passes for 124 yards.

Jets double-up Titans in Madden simulation — 5/7/20

I’m not sure you could build a more successful stack in a laboratory. Though neither Deshaun Watson ($11,200; 31.6 DKFP) or DeAndre Hopkins ($10,800; 48.0 DKFP) looked like they were going to have all that great a performance this evening based solely on an underwhelming first quarter, the dynamic duo came out firing in the second frame. Watson first found Hopkins for a massive 87-yard touchdown. Then the pair connected on another long score. Then, in the fourth quarter, they finished the game – and New York – off with a third TD connection. Eventually, Houston would take the simulation by a commanding 35-17 tally.

T.J. Hockenson goes hog-wild as the Lions beat the Jets, 19-12 — 5/9/20

The Lions went to Hockenson ($6,800; 34.5 DKFP) early and often as the TE hauled in 12 passes for 135 yards and the team’s only touchdown of the day. The rest of their points came on four FGs from Matt Prater ($4,000; 16.0 DKFP), who hit a 50-plus yarder, a 40-plus yarder and a pair of short kicks. Matthew Stafford ($11,400; 13.78 DKFP) finished with 252 yards through the air, but only one passing TD. The best player on the Jets was Robby Anderson ($9,200; 17.7 DKFP), who hauled in the one touchdown New York scored as part of his four catches for 77 yards. The Lions improve to 7-5 in their 12 sims while the Jets drop to 6-6.

Demaryius Thomas explodes in 34-24 win over Bengals — 5/12/20

Thomas ($5,600) may not have been on the top of your list to put in the captain spot when building your lineups, as only 3.6% did so. However, it turned out to be the right move, as he posted 42.6 DKFP in the captain spot with his 164 receiving yards on nine receptions. In the flex spot, he still earned you 28.4 DKFP, which was more than enough considering his mid-tier salary. Le’Veon Bell ($9,400) handled most of the scoring with three rushing touchdowns and 96 rushing yards, giving him 28.8 DKFP of his own. For the Bengals, A.J. Green ($10,600) went over 100 receiving yards once again, making seven receptions for 126 yards and 22.6 DKFP.

Jets dominate Redskins in Madden simulation– 5/14/20

Every yard matters in football and in DFS. That notion was on full display in New York’s 24-14 victory over Washington on Thursday night. It mattered for Ryan Griffin ($6,400; 20.1 DKFP), who was both the beneficiary and victim of a single yard. To wit, the tight end finished with seven catches for 101 receiving yards, yet he was also brought down inside the one-yard line on what looked to be a sure touchdown reception in the second quarter. One yard also mattered a great deal for Griffin’s teammate Le’Veon Bell ($10,000; 11.1 DKFP), as the running back would finish with 24 carries for a frustrating 99 rushing yards. It’s truly a game of virtual inches.

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers fly past the Jets in a 17-14 win– 5/17/20

The Jets had no answers for Adams ($10,600; 31.8), who racked up 188 receiving yards and a touchdown on his six catches while Aaron Rodgers ($11,400; 23.38 DKFP) hit the 300-yard bonus and threw for a pair of scores. The other touchdown went to seldom-used Allen Lazard ($3,200; 8.7 DKFP), who was a key value play in the winning lineup. Le’Veon Bell ($9,400; 16.3 DKFP) only managed 12 rushing yards, but saved his fantasy day with five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. TE2 Chris Herndon ($2,000; 7.4 DKFP) scored the other touchdown for the Jets.

Le’Veon Bell and the Jets ground the Saints, 16-7– 5/23/20
The Jets effectively shut down the Saints’ vaunted offense, holding Drew Brees ($11,000; 11.68 DKFP) and company to just seven points. Brees threw his only touchdown to Michael Thomas ($10,400; 14.8 DKFP), while Jared Cook ($8,000; 14.1 DKFP) caught nine passes for 51 yards. The Jets didn’t do much better on offense, scoring just one touchdown which came on a long run from Bell ($9,200; 24.4 DKFP) just after halftime. Bell finished with 133 rushing yards and a couple of receptions along with the score, and K Sam Ficken ($3,600; 11 DKFP) kicked three FGs which proved to be the difference. The Jets’ DST ($3,000; 7.0 DKFP) was also a solid value option.

49ers come up big on defense in win over Jets– 5/25/20

The 49ers’ defense ($3,200; 11 DKFP) sealed the game with a late interception. They also sacked Sam Darnold ($10,000; 12.18 DKFP) and controlled the pace of the game. On offense, San Francisco struggled to move the ball. This game was almost entirely won on the strength of the defense. The only players to have a decent fantasy performance was Emmanuel Sanders ($9,600; 16.2 DKFP). He caught seven passes for 65 yards and scored one of the only touchdowns in this game.

Jets shock Ravens in dominant Madden sim– 5/27/20

Lamar Jackson ($11,600; 7.7 DKFP) rushed for just 33 yards, failed to score any touchdowns and lost a pair of fumbles in Baltimore’s 27-6 loss to the Jets. Sam Darnold ($10,800; 19.42 DKFP) scored once through the air and once on the ground in the victory, going for 29.13 DKFP at 5.6% CPT ownership in the winning lineup. The Jets’ DST ($3,600; 13 DKFP) held the Ravens without a touchdown, tacking the two fumbles from Jackson, as well as sacking him twice. Any combination to cash pretty much involved rostering five Jets. Seth Roberts ($3,400; 12.6 DKFP) was the only sliver of hope for the Ravens, carving out some nice value on four receptions for 86 yards.

Jets stay hot in Madden sim victory over Browns– 5/29/20

After destroying the Ravens in their last sim, the Jets got the best of the Browns, 14-11. Sam Darnold ($10,400; 14.38 DKFP) tossed a pair of touchdowns, with Robby Anderson ($8,800; 18.6 DKFP) leading the way with a 5-76-1 line. Le’Veon Bell ($9,000; 18.7 DKFP) dominated the ground game, rushing for 108 yards and catching two passes for another 29 yards. The Browns got almost zero production on offense, as David Njoku’s ($8,000; 14.2 DKFP) 72 yards were the highlight.
