WATCH: PLAYER TO WATCH KEMBA WALKER

We tip off Monday night with a nine game slate and some intriguing options to choose from. Let’s jump right in with some players to target tonight.

Point Guard

Stud

John Wall ($9,000) – There are an abundance of options in the top priced tier of point guards tonight. Wall gets a good matchup against the Suns who are yielding the fifth most fantasy points per game to point guards and have allowed +2.51 points above expectations, per Fantasy Labs. He has topped 40 DraftKings Fantasy Points (DKFP) in all but three games this season and has scored fewer than 38 DKFP just once. The Suns play at a fast pace which could create some extra touches. This game also has the third highest projected point total and the Wizards have the second highest implied team total of the slate. There is plenty to like about Wall tonight.

Other Options – Stephen Curry $9,200, Giannis Antetokounmpo $8,800, Chris Paul $8,600, Kemba Walker $8,200, Isaiah Thomas $7,900

Value

Goran Dragic ($6,600) – Dragic returned on Thursday after missing several games with an ankle injury and has topped 30 DKFP in each game since returning. He faces off against the Sixers who have allowed +2.01 points above expectations to opposing point guards, per Fantasy Labs and are giving up the eighth most fantasy points per game to the position. Dragic is averaging 32.3 minutes per game and leads the Heat with a 24.6 percent usage rate. In this soft matchup, he should be able to pay off his reasonable price tag and has the upside to exceed it.

Other Options – Jeff Teague $6,900, Ish Smith $5,600, Tony Parker $4,600

Shooting Guard

Stud

James Harden ($11,900) – Whenever Harden is on the slate, he is someone that we have to strongly consider as he is one of the more consistent fantasy producers in the game. He has scored over 60 DKFP in seven of his last 10 games and has scored fewer than 57 DKFP just once in that span. Not that the matchup matters when it comes to him, but the Pistons have allowed +1.12 points above expectations to opposing shooting guards, per Fantasy Labs.

Other Options – DeMar DeRozan $8,400

Value

Dion Waiters ($5,100) – Waiters has been shooting the ball well as of late, and that has translated directly into fantasy points. He has topped 30 DKFP in four of his last six games and has played over 30 minutes in three of his last four games. Justice Winslow is out for tonight’s contest so Waiters should play significant minutes once again.

Other Options – Bradley Beal $6,000, Monta Ellis $5,600, Matthew Dellavedova $4,200

Small Forward

Stud

Kevin Durant ($9,600) – It is difficult to not consider Durant at less than $10,000. He has topped 50 DKFP in four straight games and is second on Golden State with a 28.1 percent usage rate. Not to mention the matchup is a good one as the Pacers have allowed +3.01 points above expectations to small forwards and will be without Paul George tonight. The one concern I have here is a potential blowout, which would cap Durant’s ceiling, but other than that this is a really good spot for him.

Other Options – Kawhi Leonard $8,700

Value

Glenn Robinson ($3,700) – Robinson has logged 25 and 44 (game went into OT) minutes in each of the last two games and should get plenty of run once again in this matchup, as both C.J. Miles and Paul George have been ruled out tonight. This should be a paced up game which should provide him with some extra touch opportunities. If you are looking for a cheap salary player in order to fit in someone like Harden, Robinson is in play.

Other Options – Otto Porter $6,300, Josh Richardson $5,300, Dario Saric $4,700 (PF eligibility as well)

Power Forward

Stud

Blake Griffin ($8,500) – Griffin has scored at least 20 real points in seven straight games and has topped 40 DKFP in all but one of those contests. He remains at a reasonable price considering his consistency and upside. Tonight’s matchup is one that favors him as the Raptors are allowing the sixth most fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards. He is my top play at this position tonight.

Other Options – Draymond Green $7,700

Value

Thaddeus Young ($5,500) – Young is coming off of a big night where he scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebound, scoring 41.25 DKFP. He is on the second night of a back to back, but draws a favorable matchup against the Warriors who have allowed +3.06 points above expectations to power forwards, per Fantasy Labs. In addition, they are yielding the seventh most fantasy points and third most fantasy points per game to the position. Despite being on the second night of a back-to-back and playing in an overtime game last night, Young should get some extended run tonight as the Pacers are shorthanded due to injuries.

Other Options – Markieff Morris $5,600 (check status), Marvin Williams $4,700

WATCH: PLAYER TO WATCH: ALAN WILLIAMS

Center

Stud

Hassan Whiteside ($9,300) – Whiteside’s price is creeping up, but he continues to produce big numbers on a nightly basis. He has topped 49 DKFP in four straight games and has 11 double-doubles in 12 games this season. He faces off against the Sixers who have allowed +2.57 points above expectations to centers (per Fantasy Labs) and are yielding the second most fantasy points per game to the position.

Other Options – Karl-Anthony Towns $8,000, Andre Drummond $7,800

Value

Alan Williams ($3,900) – With Chandler out the last two games, Williams is averaging 24.5 minutes, 40.5 DKFP, 13.5 points, 13 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He is averaging 1.7 fantasy points per minutes, which is absurdly high. Keep an eye out for Chandler’s status this evening, but if he misses again, Williams becomes an elite value play tonight.

Other Options – Al Horford $6,500, DeAndre Jordan $6,400, Joel Embiid $6,400, Clint Capela $5,900

Note: Keep a close eye on news prior to lock as this could open up some value plays that were not considered early in the day.
