The Vegas Lines

Highest Scoring Games

Rockets vs. Clippers – West coast fiyahhh, this game has the makings of a shootout. The o/u of this contest is 218.5, look for Harden to fill up the stat sheet and Blake Griffin to continue his early season dominance.

Warriors vs. Kings- It is going to be a late night for DFS, all the goodness is on the West Coast. Chef Curry has been cooking all season and will look to continue his dominance tonight against DMC’less Kings. With a 218 o/u Curry and company are going to fill up the basket.

Lowest Scoring Games

Grizzlies vs. Jazz – This game has an NFL o/u at 179. This game will be played more like a college basketball game. Both teams are half court teams that give the ball to their big men.

Hornets vs. Spurs – Pop vs. a Pop disciple usually means a low scoring game. When the Hornets matchup against the Spurs tonight that is exactly what we will get. At a 194 o/u this is the second lowest point total of the night.

Pace of Play

Fastest Projected Games

Rockets vs. Clippers – Both teams are in the top 10 of the Hollinger Pace rating. This game will be paced extremely fast and should provide a lot of fantasy goodness.

Warriors vs. Kings – Looks like we have a tie, the Warriors and the Kings are tied at 3rd in the Hollinger Pace ratings. These teams will look to push the ball up the court and the pace of this game will be solely determined by how fast Curry wants to go.

Slowest Projected Games

Grizzlies vs. Jazz – These teams are at the very bottom when it comes to pace of play. The Jazz are ranked last in the NBA and the Grizzles are…well….second to last. Based on point total alone we know that this will be snoozefest.

Nets vs. Bucks – At 26th and 27th respectively in pace of play the Nets vs. Bucks game also has the making of a slow contest. Both teams aren’t built to push the ball and will look to play a half court game. Even though the pace is slow, there are some plays in this game due to usage rate (Greek Freak, Jarrett Jack, and BroLo).

Defense vs. Position

Best PG Matchups

Steph Curry vs. Rajon Rondo – The Kings have been terrible against opposing PGs and Curry has been great. Hard to pass up this matchup in a shoot out tonight.

Worst PG Matchups

Mike Conley vs. Trey Burke – Nobody really knows who will get the start at PG for the Jazz, but Burke will get most of the minutes. Just like in every other position on the night the Jazz play great defense. Conley isn’t known for scoring output so this negates the play anyway.

Best SG Matchups

James Harden vs. JJ Reddick and all of the Clippers – James is going to do James no matter who he is up against. Over the past two games he has had a 74 and 40 DK point performance, he will look to rival this again tonight.

Worst SG Matchups

Victor Oladipo vs. Nik Stauskas – Sauce Castillo has shut down opposing SGs through the early part of the year. Unfortunately, the rest of his team can’t stop big men. Oladipo will still score, but if I am paying up i’d rather look somewhere else.

Best SF Matchups

Tobias Harris vs. Philly’s SF – It doesn’t matter if Bob Cov plays or not, Harris was one rebound away from a double double last night. With Vuc potentially out, Harris will be looked at to score and rebound under the basket.

Worst SF Matchups

Rudy Gay vs. Harrison Barnes/Andre Iguodala – The Warriors have only given up about 30 DK points versus opposing SF’s. Gay is the main scoring threat for the Kings with DMC sidelined, but Barnes and the Finals MVP will look to shut him down tonight.

Best PF Matchups

Anthony Davis vs. Dirk Nowitzki – I am a big Dirk fan, but if Dirk, Dwight Powell, or anybody on the Mavs think they are going to guard the Brow, good luck!

Worst PF Matchups

Marvin Williams vs. Kawhi Leonard – Williams has been a great value play the past couple of games, but tonight he draws the best defensive player in the league (you read that right Draymond). I can’t pay for value if I feel like he will be shut down all night.

Best C Matchups

Festus Ezeli/Andrew Bogut vs. Kosta Koufos – You will need to monitor this one based on the Bogut injury. However, the Kings can’t guard Cs and have given up 60+ fantasy points to opposing Cs. I really like Uncle Festus is Bogut decides to sit again.

Worst C Matchups

Marc Gasol vs. Rudy Gobert – Gasol and his strained neck have produced some terrible offensive play this year. He gets a low scoring game against the best defensive team in the NBA. A young Gobert should provide some great coverage tonight.

Lineup Quick Hits

Superstar Worth Paying For

Anthony Davis (10,600) – The Brow is back and produced a monster performance last night. He gets a great matchup against a Dallas team that has struggled against big men (See Al Jeff in the post). The Brow has the potential to fill every stat category and with Chef Curry playing tonight as well this could be a night where you have to play Stars and Scrubs.

Save Big Bucks By Drafting

Dewayne Dedmon (3,800) – Dedmon’s value is solely based on whether Vuc plays or not, but if Vuc is out DD is a great spot start. He met value last night and has a great matchup against Philly tonight. He has a great opportunity to hit value if he draws the start.

Dud of the Night

Greg Monroe (8,500) – I tried to give Monroe another shot last night, but unfortunately he failed to reach value two nights in a row. He started the season off with 40+ DK Fantasy Point games, but has been ice cold as of late. The offense has run through the Greek Freak and Middleton and Monroe hasn’t replicated his rebound numbers. He should struggle tonight with BroLo and crew in the wings. With all big men value tonight I am staying away.
