Here’s today’s NBA Cheat Sheet.
The Vegas Lines
Highest Scoring Games
Kings vs. Warriors – This one doesn’t have a total yet due to the status of Boogie. However, this one should be high scoring as the Warriors look to continue their domination and stay undefeated. Chef Curry is once again one of the highest projected players on the night, so roll him out at will.
Nuggets vs. Mavericks- The o/u of this game is 209.5. Both team go back and forth between starting lineups due to injuries. Zaza makes for a sneaky play against the young post players of the Nuggets. If Dirk gets a decent amount of run he should have his way with the weak defense of the Nuggets.
Lowest Scoring Games
Hawks vs. Spurs – Low and behold the Jazz aren’t the lowest total tonight. The Hawks and Spurs will throw up a 192.5 total. Tim Duncan should suit back up tonight, but this one will be the battle of the bigs. I am staying away from this game.
Pace of Play
Fastest Pace Games
Kings vs. Warriors – If you want blazing speed look no further than this game. With a projected game pace of 102.3 this is by far the fastest game of the night. Curry and Rondo will be a fantastic battle. This game will only get better if Boogie returns.
Slowest Pace Games
Nets vs. Cavaliers – Once again the Jazz don’t make a category. The projected pace in this one is 96.8. Look for Lebron to dominate and BroLo to be set up for a good game. A mini Cavs stack is not out of the picture here.
Defense vs. Position
Best PG Matchups
Damian Lillard vs. D’Angelo Russell- The Lakers are terrible against opposing PGs. Lillard is the main scorer for the TrailBlazers and should produce a nice line tonight.
Worst PG Matchups
John Wall vs. Kyle Lowry – Wall hasn’t been the superstar this year that we expected. Lowry and the Raptors are ranked 4th against opposing PGs. This one should be another tough outing for Wall.
Best SG Matchups
Klay Thompson vs. Ben McLemore – The Kings are terrible against SGs. Klay has finally started to heat up and will have a great matchup. The Warriors will look to keep the good times rolling.
Worst SG Matchups
Eric Gordon vs. Rodney Hood – If the Brow has to sit (sounds familiar) then Gordon will be looked at to score. Hood and the Jazz lock down the SG position. Gordon will have all he can handle against the 2nd ranked team against SGs.
Best SF Matchups
Lebron James vs. The Nets – Yeah I put the whole team. LBJ is a beast and the Nets won’t be able to handle him. He has a great shot at exceeding value tonight.
Worst SF Matchups
Kent Bazemore vs. Kawhi Leonard – Kawhi is the best defensive player in the league. Just Baze is coming off of injury and is on the wrong side of a tough matchup. There are better options out there tonight.
Best PF Matchups
Draymond Green vs. Omri Casspi- Draymond lit up the stat table with a triple-double last night. Tonight he draws the Kings who have suffered at the hands of PFs. I like the matchup again and he may be able to replicate last night.
Worst PF Matchups
Paul Millsap vs. LaMarcus Aldridge – Millsap is one of the main scorers for the Hawks. This game is projected as low scoring and at a slow pace. The Spurs and LMA will look to lock Millsap down tonight.
Best C Matchups
Mason Plumlee vs. Roy Hibbert – Fire up Mason tonight. The big man went off against the Lakers during the last outing. This time the Lakers are still terrible against post players. I love this matchup.
Worst C Matchups
Al Horford vs. Tim Duncan – Duncan took a break last night, but should play tonight. The Spurs are ranked 1st against opposing Cs. Horford will have his hands full tonight.
Lineup Quick Hits
Superstar Worth Paying For
Steph Curry – The Chef will look to keep the record book growing as the undefeated streak should continue tonight. On his home court tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him reach double figures in multiple categories.
Save Big Bucks by Drafting…
D’Angelo Russell – Russell gets a great matchup against Lillard tonight. He should get about 25+ minutes tonight and has a great shot at reaching value.
Dud of the Night
John Wall- Wall….you will remain here until you hit value again. This has been a terrible season for Wall.
