Game Flow Notes

Vegas Lines

HIGH O/U Phoenix vs. Lakers- The late game on the night is also the highest scoring. With a total of 208.5 this is the best option for fantasy goodness on a short slate. Brandon Knight, TJ Warren, and Devin Booker are in play for the Suns. If Kobe suits up this is a shot heavy game for him.

LOW O/U Heat vs. Wizards- This game will either make you or break you in the nightly Sharpshooter. With a total of 198 you are going to have to choose the right guys from this one. Obviously, John Wall is in play and Bosh/Wade. This game will win a GPP for someone.

Pace of Play

NBA Cheat Sheet 1.3 Pace

HIGH PACESuns vs.Lakers- Short slate and fast pace, Suns and Lakers boast an over 100 game pace and a lot of on the ball action.

LOW PACETrailblazers vs. Nuggets- On a normal slate this game would be middle of the road for pace. However, on a short slate this one is slightly lower paced than the Suns game. This game is all about monitoring injuries as Lillard is a game time call. I also love Jameer Nelson for value in this one.

Defense vs. Position

NBA Cheat Sheet 1.3 DvP

Point Guard Matchups

TARGET Brandon Knight vs. Lakers Guards- We have said this about 20 times…the Lakers are 30th against opposing PGs. Run out the point guard playing them every time.

AVOID Goran Dragic vs. John Wall- The Wizards lead man will look to shut down the offensively hampered Dragic tonight. D Wade is a lot better play for the Heat.

Shooting Guard Matchups

TARGET Dwyane Wade vs. Wizards SG- D Wade has a fantastic matchup tonight against an injury riddled Wizards team. The Wizards are among the worst in the league against opposing SGs. Wade could be looking to easily exceed value.

AVOID Devin Booker vs. Lou Williams – Obviously Booker is in play for his value, but he should only hover around value tonight. I have him projected at about 20 DK points and just feel there are better options.

Small Forward Matchups

TARGETTJ Warren vs. Kobe Bryant- With the injury to Bledsoe somebody had to step up for the Suns. Offensively this guy has been TJ. Based on usage and matchup against old man Kobe. TJ has an opportunity to exceed value tonight.

AVOIDLuol Deng vs.Otto Porter This is a little against the grain, as Deng has a fantastic matchup tonight. The issue is that his offensive usage is low and he struggles getting started sometime. I would rather have Warren at a value price tonight.

Power Forward Matchups

TARGETChris Bosh vs. Kris Humphries – The Battle of the Chris’ will easily fall in the favor of Bosh tonight. Humphries is questionable, but it doesn’t matter Bosh should be able to ham!

AVOID Jon Leuer vs. Julius Randle – The Lakers are in the bottom tier against opposing PFs. However, Jonny Boy has seen his usage drop with the resurgence of TJ Warren. I am all in on Bosh tonight.

Center Matchups

TARGETMarcin Gortat vs. Hassan Whiteside I am going to try and fit both of these guys in my DK lineup. Battle beneath the rim means more fantasy scoring for me.

AVOIDRoy Hibbert vs. Alex Len- Keeping it quick here, never ever play Roy Hibbert. It honestly doesn’t even matter the matchup.

Lineup Quick Hits

Superstar Worth Paying For

John Wall(9,900) – Wall at under 10k on a short slate….no question about it. I am rolling him out in Cash and GPP tonight.

Save Big Bucks by Drafting

TJ Warren (4,800) – Look who makes the list on back to backs. Warren is to good of a value to deny. The Suns need scoring and they have gone to Warren to provide this. Roll him out with certainty tonight.

Dud of the Night

Otto Porter (6,000) – Deng may not score, but he will defend. Out of all the SF plays tonight Porter has a horrible matchup. I am staying away…

Doubtful/Out

This is not a comprehensive list. Be sure to check for injury updates throughout the day

Josh McRoberts -Out, Gary Neal -Out, Kenneth Faried – Out
