The Vegas Lines

Highest Scoring Games

Suns vs. Nets – The speedy Suns help produce the highest scoring total tonight. With an o/u of 206 this one is the highest scoring on a short slate. There are a couple of attractive plays in this one, starting with Eric Bledsoe (49 Fantasy Points last game). I also like Brook Lopez against Tyson Chandler-less Suns team.

Lowest Scoring Games

Lakers vs. 76ers – The lowest scoring game on this short slate produces a 197.5 total. Kobe will head home to play for the last time in the City of Brotherly Love. Even with the low total I like some of the plays in this game and may even consider a pseudo game stack.

Pace of Play

Fastest Projected Games

Lakers vs. 76ers – The Suns game is the highest pace of the night, but I wanted to slide this game in as a point of interest. Even with the low total in the Lakers and 76ers game, the projected game pace is the 2nd highest. With a 99.7 projected pace, this game could provide some sneaky value on a short slate. Look no further than Clarkson, Canaan, Robert Covington, Okafor, and Mr. 81 himself Kobe Bryant.

Slowest Projected Games

Wizards vs. Cavaliers – The Cavs have been one of the slower pace teams during the early months of the 15-16 NBA season. With a team pace of 95.6 they rank in the bottom tier of all NBA teams. The projected game pace in this one is 98.6. Obviously the strong plays in this one are our big names like Lebron, Love, Wall, and Beal.

Defense vs. Position

Best PG Matchups

Mike Conley vs. Ish Smith- Conley put up 36 fantasy points during his last game against Philly and gets a similar matchup tonight. The Pelicans are still terrible against opposing PGs and for a decent price you can get Conley with a floor of 25 and a ceiling of 40 DK points.

Worst PG Matchups

John Wall vs. Mo Williams – Wall got closer to value during his last game, but has still yet to be a force this year. Tonight he gets a Cavs team that is ranked 1st against opposing guards. He will likely have to be a source of points for the Wizards as they have a tough matchup, but he won’t have the easiest time.

Best SG Matchups

Eric Bledsoe vs. Joe Johnson – Old Man Joe gets to defend one of the fastest SGs in the league tonight. Bledsoe is the Suns superstar and has been dominate this season. The Nets are ranked 25th against SGs and will have all they can handle with Bledsoe tonight.

Worst SG Matchups

CJ McCollum vs. Wes Matthews – Revenge game! Wes Matthews back in Portland who else is biting on that. McCollum may be asked to do a lot tonight if Lillard sits. The Mavs have locked down opposing SGs so it should be interesting tonight.

Best SF Matchups

LeBron James vs. Otto Porter – LBJ has had 7 straight 40 point games. Tonight he gets the easiest matchup of the year against the Wizards. They are 30th against opposing SFs and LBJ should crush Otto tonight.

Worst SF Matchups

Chandler Parsons vs. Al Farouq-Aminu – Aminu locks down other SFs. Aminu plays his old team and will look to stifle a minutes restricted Parsons. This matchup is definitely one to stay away from.

Best PF Matchups

Julius Randle vs. Jerami Grant- Randle has quietly had a great season this year. Tonight he gets to face the 76ers, who are without Nerlens Noel and are ranked 27th against opposing PFs. Randle has hit value in his last 5 games. He has a great chance to exceed value tonight.

Worst PF Matchups

Markieff Morris vs. Thad Young – Markieff is extremely inconsistent and has struggled to hit his fantasy value lately. Thad and the Nets are ranked 1st against opposing PFs. There are better plays on the slate, Jon Leuer may stack up better as the Suns potential backup C.

Best C Matchups

Marc Gasol vs. Omer Asik and Crew – The Pelicans are awful against the C position. Asik has played limited minutes, but is still labeled as the Pelicans C. Gasol has gotten his game back and has a shot to be the highest fantasy producing C tonight.

Worst C Matchups

Marcin Gortat vs. Timofey Mozgov – Gortat has finally produced a couple of decent lines that are over 30 fantasy points. The Cavs are ranked 1st against opposing Cs and Gortat shouldn’t be the focus of most of the scoring tonight.

Lineup Quick Hits

Superstar Worth Paying For

LeBron James ($9,700) – The King has the easiest matchup on the night and should produce a nice line. He has been a 40 fantasy point guarantee over the last couple of games and has a chance to exceed this value tonight. Look for the King to rule tonight.

Save Big Bucks By Drafting

Kobe Bryant ($5,800) – The Prodigal son returns home tonight and will suit up for the last time. He comes in at a cheap price tonight and will want to show out. I said on twitter that I was all in on “The Mamba” this season and I am sticking to my word.

Dud of the Night

John Wall ($7,800) – Wall came close to working his way off of this list last game. He gets a tough matchup tonight, so we will see if he makes his way off tonight.
