This article breaks down NBA options for tonight by which five players are the best option for your lineup at each position. It will cross over multiple salary tiers and doesn’t necessarily have to be the most expensive players but rather the guys you want to target for your DraftKings lineups!

PGRussell Westbrook OKCNY$10,600
PGChris PaulLACIND$9,700
PGKyle LowryTORWAS$8,500
PGMichael Carter WilliamsMILORL$6,700
PGD'Angelo RussellLALDAL$5,000

  • He’s gotten dangerously close to 4 straight triple-doubles and before that Russell Westbrook ($10,600) he actually did have 2 straight. The Knicks allow the 7th/8th most assists/rebounds to opposing Point Guard’s to go along with 22 points. Russell should be in for an entertaining night.
  • Chris Paul ($9,700) has had 50 points or more in 6 of his last 9 games and the Pacers allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing Point Guards. Even with Blake out CP3 still has double-digit assists in 10 of his last 14 games.
  • The Wizards allow Point Guards to score the most points and the 5th most 3 pointers made. Kyle Lowry ($8,500) has had at least 6 assists in 5 straight games and is 16-31 shooting 3’s over the last 10 days. Washington played last night and the Raptors will look for playoff revenge at home.
  • The Magic backcourt gives up plenty of turnovers and Michael Carter Williams ($6,700) has played great defense lately. He’s been stealing/blocking at a high rate over the last 10 days and has at least 11 field goal attempts in his last 2 games. All around contributions should give him a solid night against a weak team.
  • He’s only averaging around 25 fantasy points but D’Angelo Russell ($5,000) has been very consistent the past few weeks too. Finally playing over 25 minutes and taking shots with confidence. If he continues to hit 3’s and throw in a couple more assists, Russell could be a steal against a depleted Mavericks defense

Top 5 Shooting Guards

SGCJ McCollumPORSAC$7,300
SGMonta EllisINDLAC$6,900
SGDwyane WadeMIABKN$6,500
SGDevin BookerPHOPHI$5,400
SGArchie GoodwinPHOPHI$4,500

  • Over his last 3 games he’s shooting 55% from the field and averaging 27 points in that span. CJ McCollum ($7,300) also missed a triple double by 1 assist last time he played the Kings, who trail only the Lakers in 3 pointers made allowed to Shooting Guards
  • The game has a high projected total and Monta Ellis ($6,900) will have a good defensive matchup. He’s shooting over 50% in 4 of his last 5 games and will get plenty of field goal attempts tonight. The Clippers are a complete mess right now.
  • Dwyane Wade ($6,500) played last night but did play very well. The Nets are very stingy guarding Shooting Guards but give up a ton of steals in transition. Wade is one of the Heat’s only solid scoring options right now and has at least 20 points in 3 of his last 4 games.
  • Devin Booker ($5,400) saw his scoring drop below 20 points but it still locked in for good value. The Sixers are terrible at everything but especially stopping Shooting Guards from scoring.
  • Archie Goodwin ($4,500) has struggled shooting but still scored over 20 points in back to back games. He doesn’t contribute in many other areas and will be highly owned but he’s also playing the Sixers. They stink.

Top 5 Small Forwards

SFKevin DurantOKCNY$9,900
SFGiannis AntetokounmpoMILORL$7,200
SFChandler ParsonsDALLAL$6,300
SFRobert Covington PHIPHO$6,100
SFPJ TuckerPHOPHI$5,100

  • New York is average guarding Small Forwards but does allow the 3rd most rebounds. Kevin Durant ($9,900) has double-digit rebounds in 2 of his last 4 games which includes two 61 fantasy point performances.
  • Orlando loves turning the ball over and Giannis Antetokounmpo ($7,200) loves gobbling up steals/blocks. His rebounding has dipped the past 3 games but no one on Orlando should be able to keep him off the boards tonight. The Greek Freak shoots better at home and that’s exactly where he is tonight.
  • Chandler Parsons ($6,300) has scored 30 points in 2 of his last 3 games and is playing the absolute sieve that is the LA Lakers. They are good at defending 3 pointers made but that’s about it. Overall they allow the 7th most fantasy points to Small Forwards. Dirk is hobbled, Chandler is hot.
  • Robert Covington ($6,100) is 15-37 shooting 3’s over the last 10 days while averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds. It’s a great matchup against the Suns who allow the most fantasy points to Small Forwards. He’s not flashy but has been pretty consistent the past 2 weeks.
  • The Suns are injured all over and that means 30+ minutes for PJ Tucker ($5,100). He’s coming off a 31 fantasy point game and has pulled down at least 6 rebounds in 3 of his last 4 games. Tucker may not be a go-to scorer but he is playing the Sixers and sometimes, somehow, that’s enough.

Top 5 Power Forwards

PFDeMarcus CousinsSACPOR$11,000
PFChris BoshMIABKN$7,700
PFNerlens NoelPHIPHO$6,400
PFJabari ParkerMILORL$5,100
PFJulius RandleLALDAL$5,800

  • DeMarcus Cousins ($11,000) is EN FUEGO right now. But is he tired? Boogie only averages 20 points on 40% shooting in the 2nd game of back to backs… but he also had 81 fantasy points last night. The Blazers frontcourt is thin and probably very scared right now either way.
  • With most of the Heat injured Chris Bosh ($7,700) has stepped up his rebounding and scoring in the past week. Brooklyn is tough on defense but weak on the glass, allowing the 4th most rebounds to Power Forwards over the last 3 weeks. As long as Bosh stays aggressive and gets to the Free Throw line he’ll have a solid night against the Nets.
  • Scoring has dropped off but Nerlens Noel ($6,400) is still nearly averaging a double-double over the last 10 days. He’s also had at least 3 blocks in 5 of his last 7 games. Throw in a couple of likely steals, and Noel getting 30+ fantasy points in very attainable.
  • Dirk and Zaza are hurting on the Mavericks and Julius Randle ($5,800) has a double-double in 2 of his last 4 games. His defense has picked up lately and becoming more efficient on offense. He’s not a star yet but he is the Lakers best big man and a cheap 30 fantasy point threat.
  • Jabari Parker ($5,100) has scored double digits in 11 of his past 12 games and per usual is all over the board with his contributions. He’s not a double-double threat but against a team allowing the 5th most fantasy points to Power Forwards, he could be a good play since he’s finally getting 35+ minutes a game.

Top 5 Centers

CBrook LopezBKNMIA$7,200
CGreg MonroeMILORL$7,000
CJonas ValanciunasTORWAS$6,300
CMason PlumleePORSAC$5,300
CAlex LenPHOPHI$4,800

  • Brook Lopez ($7,200) is the master of inconsistency but he’s also scored over 50 fantasy points in 2 of his last 4 games. Hassan Whiteside is hobbled which means Udonis/Amare time for the Heat. That should mean big night time for a Center who’s put a double-double in 3 of his last 4 games. The Nets only option is a good one tonight.
  • One night after snapping his double-double streak, Greg Monroe ($7,000) has begun another one. He’s averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks over the last 10 days. He very consistently hits 40 fantasy points and that should continue tonight.
  • Jonas Valanciunas ($6,300) struggled last time he played the Wizards but has been on a rebounding tear lately with at least 12 in 3 of his last 4 games. He’s also shooting 57% and playing a squad of slow bigmen who already played last night.
  • Before Boogie eats him alive Mason Plumlee ($5,300) could put up some solid numbers. He’s had at least 4 assists in 3 straight games and 37 fantasy points in his most recent one. The Kings allow high rebounding numbers to Centers and it’s the highest projected total of the night.
  • Alex Len ($4,800) should continue to see big minutes with so many Suns hurt and he’s earned it. Over the last 3 games he’s averaging 11 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and shooting 46%. Tyson Chandler is a total rebound hog but Len should still see plenty of opportunities against an inexperienced Philadelphia frontcourt.
