With Thursday being a big travel day across MLB, plenty of teams are either already traveling or playing in a game this afternoon. That leaves just a four-game evening slate, but that doesn’t mean stacking is any less important. Here are my top stacks for tonight. Hit me up on Twitter with comments or questions: @julianedlow.

The Sox kick off a series in Baltimore tonight going up against LHP Wade Miley. There could be some drama in this one given all the beef between these two teams this season, but hopefully we don’t see any ejections for the sake of stacking this game. The Sox are going with a different-looking lineup these days with Dustin Pedroia injured, Andrew Benintendi struggling and a new platoon at first base. You can mix in some of the studs with some value plays that typically aren’t there. Current members of the Red Sox are hitting .318 against Miley, so there’s not much cause for concern.

Players to Consider

  • Mookie Betts ($5,300)
  • Xander Bogaerts ($4,800)
  • Hanley Ramirez ($4,400)
  • Chris Young ($3,500)
  • Josh Rutledge ($2,900)
  • Sam Travis ($2,900)

The Jays will square off against LHP CC Sabathia at home, where they’re projected for a slate-high five runs. Toronto has a reputation for crushing LHP, particularly on its home field. The numbers so far this season suggest the Jays should get the best of CC, as they scored six runs against him in a four-inning outing earlier this season, and all eight of his home runs allowed have come to RHB.

Players to Consider

  • Justin Smoak ($4,600)
  • Josh Donaldson ($4,700)
  • Jose Bautista ($4,900)
  • Troy Tulowitzki ($3,800)
  • Kendrys Morales ($4,800)

The D-Backs are in Miami going up against LHP Jeff Locke, who is making his season debut. Locke got lit up by RHB in 2016, as they hit .305 with 13 of his 17 homers and 27 of his 35 doubles allowed coming from the right side of the plate. In limited exposure, Arizona’s RHB have fared well against Locke, a preview of what we should see tonight.

Players to Consider

  • Paul Goldschmidt ($5,500)
  • Yasmany Tomas ($3,900)
  • Chris Owings ($4,400)
  • Brandon Drury ($3,000)
  • Chris Iannetta ($2,900)
  • Jake Lamb ($5,000)

I am a promoter at DraftKings and am also an avid fan and user (my username is jedlow) and may sometimes play on my personal account in the games that I offer advice on. Although I have expressed my personal view on the games and strategies above, they do not necessarily reflect the view(s) of DraftKings and I may also deploy different players and strategies than what I recommend above.
