MLB Arcade Mode brings us a four-game featured slate starting tonight at 10:07 PM EST. Here are a few targets to consider for your DraftKings Arcade Mode lineups. As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

Pitchers

Chris Sale– BOS @ LAA – $23,000- This issue with Sale is his salary (Wood doesn’t bring much relief either, costing just $1K less). Sale is back on the filthy train as of late, grabbing double-digit strikeouts in three straight games while allowing just four runs in 21.2 innings. This Angels club is a relatively tough team to strike out, owning a 19.7 K%, but Sale has elite swing and miss stuff. Most recently against the Royals and Tigers, two clubs that also own a K% around 19%, Sale struck out 17 in a combined 15.1 innings. If you can make your hitters work at this price point, Sale is always one of the top options.

Jeff Samardzija– SFG vs. SDP– $16,500- In Arcade Mode, strikeouts are king, so Samardzija is my top option. Even with names like Chris Sale and Alex Wood going on this four-game slate, Samardzija makes a lot of sense. Shark enters this start with a 9.8 K/9 overall and a 13 K/9 against this Padres club. He’s faced them twice already, pitching 13 innings allowing nine runs and a 13:1 K:BB ratio. The runs are obviously not great to see, but he’s still averaging 28.1 fantasy points thanks to the Ks. With Samardzija, you still have an average of $6,700 per hitter where as with Sale or Wood, you’re left with about $5,500 per hitter.

Hitters

Mookie Betts – BOS @ LAA – $9,500 – Ricky Nolasco is one of my favorite pitchers to target against, since he’s always a candidate to give up some bombs. Going into tonight’s game, Nolasco is averaging just over two home runs per nine innings this season. Betts is in a great spot here as Nolasco is allowing a .354 wOBA to righties with a .534 SLG.

Chris Taylor – LAD vs. ATL– $8,000 – As long as Jaime Garcia doesn’t get traded before his start tonight, Taylor is my top hitter on this slate. Taylor has been crushing lefties this season, sporting a .466 wOBA with a .652 SLG and a .462 OBP. He’s averaging 29.4 fantasy points in his last ten games with five doubles, two triples and a home run.

Nelson Cruz– SEA vs. NYY – $8,000 – – You know the drill here, Cruz -> Lefty -> Roster. At home against lefties, Cruz is posting a .459 wOBA with a .634 SLG and a .472 OBP. CC Sabathia has been good on the mound lately, but I’d take my chances with Cruz in a matchup he’s proven to succeed in time and time again.

Logan Forsythe – LAD vs. ATL – $5,500 – – Forsythe is one of the cheaper bats on this slate tonight, but he’s been posting some big numbers against lefties. On the season, Forsythe owns a .456 wOBA with a .500 SLG and a .465 OBP. Even though Forsythe hasn’t been flashing much power this season, nine of his 12 extra base hits have come off left-handed pitchers. Again, this is all contingent on if Garcia makes the start tonight.
