Sunday’s Contests

$1.5k Striker – $3 entry fee

$1K Equalizer – $27 entry fee

Chicago Fire @ DC United
Game Analysis
DC United return home this Sunday against the last place Chicago Fire having already clinched a place in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They have a ways to go to earn the automatic bid to the semifinals, but a win against the Fire would be a huge step in the right direction. Chris Korb will still be out after he sustained that horrible knee injury a few months back. As for Chicago, the only thing they are playing for is pride and a place in the team as they turn toward next season. Expect Kennedy Igboananike, David Accam, and Gilberto to carry the attack, as all three should be key players moving forward. Expect DC United and their outstanding depth to easily beat the Fire on Sunday.
Line: DC United (-1) O/U: 2 ½ (o: -135, u: +110)

Players to Watch
* Gilberto, Chicago Fire ($7,500)
* David Accam, Chicago Fire ($8,200)
* Alvaro Saborio, DC United ($7,500)
* Fabian Espindola, DC United ($9,800)

Philadelphia Union @ New York Red Bulls
Game Analysis
The Red Bulls can clinch first place in the Eastern Conference with a win or tie over Philadelphia on Sunday. New York will once again be without Matt Miazga who is suspended, but the rest of the team should be back from international duty and expect guys like Lloyd Sam to be back in the starting XI. As for Philadelphia, Maurice Edu will be out with a hernia injury that might keep him out for the remainder of the season. Expect the Red Bulls to dominate this game with whoever they put on the field against the Union.
Line: New York Red Bulls (-1 ½) O/U: 3 (o: -115, u: -105)

Players to Watch
* Cristian Maidana, Philadelphia Union ($8,900)
* CJ Sapong, Philadelphia Union ($7,500)
* Bradley Wright-Phillips, New York Red Bulls ($12,200)
* Lloyd Sam, New York Red Bulls ($8,800)

Seattle Sounders @ Houston Dynamo
Game Analysis
This game has huge implications on the Western Conference playoff picture, as a win for Seattle would clinch a playoff spot for them, but also knock the Dynamo out of contention. Seattle have earned a point in six straight games and look very solid as the season comes to an end. Ramon Torres is obviously still on the sideline with his season ending injury, but Oneil Fisher and Chad Marshall are also both listed as questionable. That would be a huge blow in the already depleted Sounders defense. As for Houston, their loss last week really hurt their overall chances to make the playoffs. They will be without suspended Raul Rodriguez and potentially the injured Kofi Sarkodie on Sunday. Luckily their key attackers will be healthy and will need to take advantage of the injuries in the Sounders defense in this must win game for the Dynamo.
Line: (Pick) O/U: 2 ½ (o: -115, u: -110)

Players to Watch
* Clint Dempsey, Seattle Sounders ($10,300)
* Obafemi Martins, Seattle Sounders ($10,800)
* Brad Davis, Houston Dynamo ($8,200)
* Will Bruin, Houston Dynamo ($7,300)

Portland Timbers @ LA Galaxy
Game Analysis
Portland travel to Los Angeles as they have their work cut out for them to keep pace with San Jose for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Jack Jewsbury and Will Johnson are both questionable with injuries, meaning Darlington Nagbe and Diego Valeri will have to track back and help out their defense similar to last weekend. As for the Galaxy, they are still holding out hope that they will catch FC Dallas in the Western Conference. They will slightly be worried that Giovanni Dos Santos and Robbie Rogers are both questionable with injuries, but expect them to be ready to go once the game starts. It’s going to be very difficult for Portland to find any kind of offense against the Galaxy, and if Will Johnson is out then expect Juninho and Gerrard to dominate the center of that midfield.
Line: LA Galaxy (-1) O/U: 2 ½ (o: -140, u: +115)

Players to Watch
* Fernando Adi, Portland Timbers ($9,000)
* Diego Valeri, Portland Timbers ($10,000)
* Robbie Keane, LA Galaxy ($11,500)
* Steven Gerrard, LA Galaxy ($8,200)
