DC United @ New York City FC
DC United have now won three in a row and will look to make it four against New York City FC. Chris Rolfe has been outstanding as of late, adding to his team leading nine goals, and will need to continue his good run of form with Fabian Espindola still injured. As for New York City FC, they have a slew of injuries including Ryan Meara, Ned Grabavoy, Khiry Shelton, Chris Wingert, Tony Taylor, and George John. Since Lampard and Pirlo have joined, New York City FC are yet to win, but it’s only a matter of time until they all start clicking. New York City FC has a ton of talent with their Spanish contingent of David Villa, Iraola, and Angelino, but don’t forget Mix Diskerud as well. DC United are the best team in the league, but this could be the week New York City FC can steal a point at home.
Line: (Pick) O/U: 3 (o: Even, u: -145)
Players to Watch
* Chris Rolfe, DC United ($7,600)
* Bill Hamid, DC United ($4,800)
* David Villa, New York City FC ($12,500)
* Angelino, New York City FC ($4,600)
Colorado Rapids @ San Jose Earthquakes
San Jose have been in the worst run of form recently as they are without a win in their last six matches. They were without both Clarence Goodson and Matias Perez Garcia last weekend, and might be again this week. Luckily they are home on Friday against another struggling team in the Colorado Rapids. Colorado will be without Luis Solignac again this week and now defender James Riley will join him on the sideline. Fans have been calling for Dillon Powers to be insterted back into the starting lineup, and I expect it to happen this Friday as Colorado are out of a playoff position.
