The Premier League returns after a very eventful international break this past week. In Saturday’s EPL Targets I will be analyzing some of the best plays for this slate of games and point out some of the best values based on price. Also follow me on Twitter (@jwl_15) for injury and lineup updates throughout the weekend.

Tim Howard – ($3,900) – Everton – Howard is coming off a clean sheet in his only appearance for the USMNT during the international break. He returns to Everton with a very good matchup on Saturday against Aston Villa, the worst team in the Premier League so far this season. Aston Villa have only two goals over their last five games, which should bode well for Howard even with his inconsistencies for club and country this year.

Petr Cech – ($4,000) – Arsenal – As mentioned for the last few weeks now, Cech is still one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Arsenal have found their calming influence at the back and it has paid dividends early in the season as they have only given up nine goals in twelve games this season. Cech will have a decent matchup on Saturday against West Brom who were unable to score against Manchester United before the international break and are tied for the lowest amount of goals scored on the season.

Jack Butland – ($3,400) – Stoke City – Stoke City are twelfth in the Premier League right now with only four wins on the season, but Jack Butland has been arguably their best player this season. Before the international break, Butland earned 18 points against Chelsea as the Stoke goalkeeper was able to hold a clean sheet. He now has earned 14+ points in five of his last six games and continues to lead the Premier League in saves with 50 on the season. He will need to be on his game once again on Saturday as Southampton are sixth in the league in shots and seventh in goals scored.

Alberto Moreno – ($4,300) – Liverpool – Moreno is arguably the best fantasy defender right now with his ability to play quality crosses and the return of Christian Benteke to the Liverpool attack. Moreno has recorded 20 crosses over his last two starts and scored a season high 20 fantasy points against Crystal Palace just before the break. He will have a very difficult matchup against Manchester City on Saturday, but when Liverpool do get into attack, expect Moreno to be heavily involved from the left flank.

Seamus Coleman – ($4,200) – Everton – Coleman continues to struggle getting forward from his fullback position this year, but Saturday should be different. As mentioned before, Everton have a great matchup against Aston Villa who have the third worst goal differential in the league. With Leighton Baines nearing a return, Coleman will continue to be Everton’s most attacking minded defender on a team that will likely get plenty of goalscoring opportunities on Saturday.

Christian Fuchs – ($3,000) – Leicester City – Fuchs returned to the Leicester City starting lineup before the international break and continued to do what has been expected of the very attacking minded fullback. Fuchs has 21 crosses over his last three starts and should have plenty of chances to get forward on Saturday. Newcastle United have the fourth worst goal differential in the Premier League which is key for a defender who can be very influential in a very dangerous Leicester City attack.

Cedric Soares – ($3,200) – Southampton – Cedric’s price has dropped significantly over the last month, but he has still been one of the better fantasy defenders on DraftKings. Over his last two starts, Cedric has earned 11 points and 14 points, including seven crosses over that same span of games. He has a decent matchup at home this weekend against Stoke City who are tied for the least amount of goals scored this season.

Mesut Ozil – ($7,000) – Arsenal – Ozil has earned 17+ points in five of his last seven starts, including a 26 point performance just before the international break. He made 14 crosses and earned his league leading 10th assist on the season. Arsenal face a very good matchup against West Brom who have given up five goals over their last two games. There is some concern over Alexis Sanchez and his status coming into the weekend, but the recent chemistry between Olivier Giroud and Ozil has been very encouraging for Ozil and Arsenal fans alike.

Philippe Coutinho – ($6,100) – Liverpool – Coutinho’s transformation under Jurgen Klopp continued as he entered the international break with three goals in the last two games before the break. He has scored 49 points in his last two games and has had 4+ shots in each of his last three starts. Manchester City will be a very difficult matchup, but with the return of Benteke and Sturridge, Liverpool should have plenty of attacking power to make Coutinho very relevant on Saturday.

Matt Ritchie – ($5,500) – Bournemouth – Ritchie will continue to be a strong value play each week until his price increases because of the volume of crosses he is capable of. He recorded an unprecedented 21 crosses against Newcastle United last time out and those numbers will continue with the new scoring system on DraftKings. On top of the crosses, he also recorded five shots on his way to 29 fantasy points without recording a goal or an assist. Over the last two games, Swansea City has given up four goal and lost both games. Expect Ritchie to continue to be the key player for Bournemouth as they fight the relegation battle.

Willian – ($5,500) – Chelsea – I probably sound like a broken record, but Willian has been Chelsea’s best player and his price is way too low given his scoring output so far this season. He has earned 14+ points in ten straight games and has recorded 27 crosses over his last three starts. Norwich City may be ahead of Chelsea in the table, but Chelsea have way more talent and should be able to get on the board against the third worst defense in the Premier League.

Jamie Vardy – ($7,600) – Leicester City – Another week and another goal by Jamie Vardy. He has scored in nine straight games now and is the most inform player in the world right now. Nobody would be surprised if Vardy made it ten straight games on Saturday against Newcastle United.

Romelu Lukaku – ($7,400) – Everton- Lukaku has scored in two straight games, scoring 17 points and 28 points in each of those games. As mentioned before, Everton have a great matchup against Aston Villa who have given up seven goals on the road this season and have the third worst goal differential in the Premier League. Expect Lukaku to get plenty of chances on Saturday in what will likely be a very offensive game.

Olivier Giroud – ($6,500) – Arsenal – With Walcott still out, expect Giroud to continue to lead the line for Arsenal. Going into the London Derby two weeks ago, Giroud was riding a five game goalscoring streak that he would love to start up once again. As mentioned before, West Brom are very poor in defense and have given up five goals over their last two games. Expect Giroud to get plenty of chances, but monitor the status of Alexis Sanchez, who is key to that Arsenal attack.

Gerard Deulofeu – ($4,500) – Everton – Deulofeu has been key since entering the Everton starting lineup, scoring 14+ points in three straight starts. Expect him to be his usual creative self on Saturday, especially with Jordan Amavi going down with injury on the left side of the Aston Villa defense. He should have plenty of chances to score, but also create those clear cut chances for both inform strikers Arouna Kone and Romelu Lukaku.
