Monday Night Football continues to serve up some cracking clashes and this time around it is the turn of Arsenal and Manchester City. With three games, Sunday’s slate is a small one and as such it will be tricky to pick up players that offer true value. To make things easier we’ve broken down each clash and found some key trends that will help influence your picks.

Watford v Liverpool

This is the first time these two sides have met since early 2007 when Liverpool won 3-0 at Vicarage Road. Things will be a lot closer this time around with Watford sitting second in the form table coming into the game and holding two trump cards in forwards Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney. Ighalo has scored in three straight Premier League games and Deeney has four in five. Liverpool haven’t won in the Premier League since beating Swansea 1-0 and the loss of Dejan Lovren to an injury leaves them looking very thin at the back. Jordan Henderson’s return is a boost but they need to find a forward to start scoring regularly. It’s the missing piece to what could be a devastating side.

Who to pick

Odion Ighalo, Watford ($6,500)
Troy Deeney, Watford ($5,200)
Jordan Henderson, Liverpool ($3,600)
Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool ($6,400)

Swansea City v West Ham

Is there an easier place to go than the Liberty Stadium right now? Up until Garry Monk got the boot it was a resounding yes. Since then, Swansea are 0-1 after narrowly losing to Man City last time out. Good news is that West Ham are not the same side that started off the season on a tear and are still without many big names. Bad news is that one of them is raring to go. Andy Carroll enjoys a game against Swansea even more than a night on the Jagerbombs and Newcy Brown and has four goals in four games against the Welsh outfit. That run even includes a red card for good measure. Slaven Bilic’s side haven’t lost in five to Swansea either. The only problem is that Carroll may well miss out due to yet another injury.

Who to pick

Bafetimbi Gomis, Swansea ($5,700)
Gylfi Sigurdsson, Swansea ($5,600)
Andy Carroll, West Ham ($4,000)
Mauro Zarate, West Ham ($4,400)

Arsenal v Man City

Separated by one point and a few points back from league leaders Leicester City, this is the big pre-Christmas treat of the weekend. Games between these two are predictably tight and Arsenal haven’t beaten the title favourites since April 2012. The last two games have ended in score draws and Arsenal surprised everyone by winning 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in January. Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero may both return for their respective sides and turn this into a clash to remember. Even if they don’t, Mesut Özil, Kevin de Bruyne and Olivier Giroud provide more than enough point potential for daily fantasy football players.

Who to pick

Mesut Özil, Arsenal ($7,800)
Olivier Giroud, Arsenal ($7,100)
Kevin de Bruyne, Man City ($7,500)
David Silva, Man City ($5,700)
