With the Champions League about to start up again with two major slates to look forward to, DraftKings is doing it big with over $75,000 in guarantees for Tuesday’s games alone we have a great start for the action that kicks off at 2:45 EST tomorrow afternoon.

Here is your cheat sheet for the slate as you look to build your lineups and hopefully we can profit together in what is sure to be a fun filled slate.

Lock of the Day

Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid $12,800 – It’s easy to say the most expensive player should be your lock of the day, but Ronaldo and Real Madrid are huge favorites in a matchup against Shakhtar Donetsk of the Ukraine and the over/under for this game is very high and the expectation is that there will be more than three goals and that Real Madrid will likely score all of them. Ronaldo is by far the most talented player in the slate and he’s either 1 or 2 in the world depending on who you ask. Ronaldo scored his first goal in La Liga last Saturday going against Espanyol on the road in the 7th minute of that game, then proceeded to score his second, third, fourth and fifth goals all in that match on the way to a 6-0 route (the only other goal was scored by Karim Benzema, (Real Madrid, $9,500)). Look for Ronaldo and Mardid to get off to a hot start in group A and expect them to route Shakhtar at home.

Second Choice

Memphis, Manchester United $9700 – Going against his former team, Memphis is in a great spot in this matchup. He’s facing a team that he knows their tendencies, and will be squaring up against players that he played with for a while prior to joining United. I expect that this will be a Manchester United win and for Memphis to contribute. He’s also got some motivation since he said in an interview this week that if he does score against his former club he is prepared to celebrate. Who doesn’t like a bit of controversy with their DFS picks? I know I do. If you’re looking for a statistical reason to target Memphis in this matchup, then look no further than his record in the qualifying round this season for the Champions League, Memphis scored twice and assisted on a third in the first leg against Club Brugge and I has looked more comfortable playing in Europe than he has in the Premier League so far.

Value Play of the Day

Diego Benaglio, Wolfsburg $3,000 – Wolfsburg are missing their starting goalkeeper Koen Casteels who is suffering from a toe injury, and Wolfsburg are going to be facing CSKA Moscow who have not looked good so far in the early stages of the Russian Premier league. Moreover, Moscow have never won in Germany and Wolfsburg will be looking to start strong in Group B with English Giants Manchester United battling with them for group supremacy. Expect Benaglio to be a safe cheap option to help you get guys like Memphis and Ronaldo into your lineups.

Second Choice

Vitolo, Sevilla $5,700 – Vitolo is starting in the right wing for Sevilla who are facing Borussia M’Gladback at home. Vitolo is below the $6000 mark which constitutes some value for me. He’s a talented midfielder who has averaged 2 shots per game so far in the Spanish league while playing 100% of the minutes. Sevilla are struggling so far this season and have not looked strong, however, their opponents have looked just as bad and given that this match is in Spain, I give the edge to the Sevilla team with Vitolo providing enough salary relief with some upside to allow you to roster some of the bigger names in play on Tuesday.

Sleeper of the Day

Wesley Sneijder, Galatasaray $7300 – Nobody will look to Galatasaray in this matchup against Atletico Madrid, however, there are reasons to consider the talented Wesley Sneijder from this Galatasaray squad. The Turkish team is playing at home and facing an Atletico team that is coming off a loss to Barcelona and then traveling to Turkey. Sneijder is an interesting selection as I expect him to be underowned and for Galatasaray to score a goal or two and possibly get their first win against a Spanish side since 2012/13. Sneijder is playing as a Center Attacking Midfielder which will give him opportunities as an assist man and/or goal scorer.

Andre Hahn, Borussia M’Gladbach $4,200 – Hahn could fit as either a sleeper or a value play with M’Gladbach playing on the road in Sevilla. As mentioned above both teams are struggling and with Hahn being one of the strikers for the road team in a 4-4-2 formation, look for him to try to exploit the Sevilla defense that has allowed four goals in their last two matches and with this match being the first between these two teams there could be some defensive mistakes that lead to goals. Hahn is a cheap option to get exposure to this match and a potential goal could catapult your team to the top of some leaderboards.

Dani Carvajal, Real Madrid $3,900 – Real Madrid are huge favorites and will be missing Danilo and will probably start Carvajal at right full-back in their matchup against Shakhtar Donetsk. Carvajal can deliver crosses and will be active in attack which could lead to a nice fantasy day. He’s also a cheap way to get exposure to a potential Real Madrid clean sheet that could prove useful.
