Welcome to “Big Monday” as we get just a 3 game slate to work with. Monday nights have been advertised as “Big Monday” for a few years now; however, it seems that the games have diminished significantly over the years.  That is neither here nor there as it is not up to us to worry about what the scheduling looks like; however, it IS up to us as to how we want to attack the 3 games.  Let’s take a look at who we should be considering and as always, hit me up on Twitter (@Razzle11Grinds) with any questions you may have!

Studs

Monte Morris, Iowa St ($9,000) vs Oklahoma St – Morris has stumbled a bit of late and that is definitely a cause for concern, however Iowa St is expected to be the highest scoring team of the night and with only three games to work with, you are going to want to attack them, especially since their rotation is basically 6 or 7 deep.

Isaiah Taylor, Texas ($7,400) vs Kansas – I think Taylor is going to go a bit under owned as his individual match-up isn’t the greatest however Texas is an extremely dangerous team as they have 4 wins against top 10 ranked teams so far this season and could certainly pick up number 5 in this one.  He went for 29.5 fantasy points the last time these two teams met.

Other Options – Michael Gbinije ($8,800), Frank Mason III ($7,600), Joel Berry ($6,900), Justin Jackson ($6,800), Trevor Cooney ($6,100)

Values

Javan Felix, Texas ($5,400) vs Kansas – Felix is going to play 30+ minutes in this one and he should get us between 18 and 25 fantasy points.  He went for 25.75 fantasy points the last time these two teams met and this slate lacks any real upside as far as value plays goes, so we are going to need a guy like Felix to continue to just meet what he has been doing of late.

Eric Davis Jr. Texas ($4,100) vs Kansas – I know it’s another Texas play, however they are about the only team with some value guards to consider at this point.  Davis Jr. has gone for 14.5+ fantasy points in four straight games while scoring double digit game points in each.

Other Options – Tavarius Shine ($4,700), Theo Pinson ($4,300), Kerwin Roach Jr. ($4,300), Joe Burton ($4,000), Franklin Howard ($3,500)

Studs

Brice Johnson, UNC ($10,000) vs Syracuse – Johnson gets the ideal match-up as Syracuse gets dominated on the offensive glass.  Johnson is by far my number 1 play of the night, it’s just a matter of being able to put a respectable team around him.  Johnson has dominated in recent stellar match-ups and I would expect that to happen again tonight.

Perry Ellis, Kansas ($7,700) vs Texas – Ellis has been pretty blah recently and nothing about his game logs scream must play, however I think he steps up in this one as he went for 33 fantasy points the last time these two teams met and 26 of those were actual game points.

Other Options – Georges Niang ($9,400), Jameel McKay ($7,700), Tyler Lydon ($6,700)

Values

Leyton Hammonds, Oklahoma St ($5,100) vs Iowa St – Hammonds has been pretty up and down recently, however he had been the biggest beneficiary in usage since Evans went down for the season. He has gotten himself into some foul trouble recently but he did managed to go for 22.75 the last time these two teams met, so as long as he stays on the court he is definitely not going to kill your lineups at his price point.

Connor Lammert, Texas ($4,900) vs Kansas – Lammert went for 23.25 fantasy points before fouling out the last time these two teams met and is coming off of a 29.5 fantasy point performance against Oklahoma as Texas pulled off the upset.  I think Lammert is going to be extremely popular tonight, but with so few options for value, it is tough to look elsewhere.

Other Options – Landen Lucas ($5,800), Isaiah Hicks ($4,900), Shaquille Cleare ($3,700)
