About the Program
DraftKings is providing training in high demand tech skills for current and returning veterans and their spouses to help them expand their abilities in their current role and to find meaningful employment. DraftKings’ employees will be working with the veterans to grow their understanding of employment opportunities at high-tech companies and to further support the veteran graduates pursuing careers in tech. Efforts include 1-to-1 mentoring, resume development, career roadmapping and skills translation, as well as peer-to-peer networking.

Donating to the Tech for Heroes program is as easy as playing in one of our special military-inspired daily fantasy contests. Thanks to our players, you’ve helped raise over $200,000 in 2020. That means we’re well on the way to funding additional coding boot camps for vets and their spouses.
“I’m truly grateful to DraftKings for putting together this scholarship and opportunity for both veterans and spouses. It’s not often that spouses are given an amazing opportunity alongside their veterans to learn and gain a new skillset that can be beneficial in this technological day and age.”

“I have learned more about the vast world of tech in the past month than I have in my previous 35 years on earth. This has been so incredibly beneficial to me. I wish this class was available when I got out of the service. Not only is this the best resource that has ever been available to me as a veteran, it’s a phenomenal way for employers to tap into veterans that are career and education oriented. This class is filled with people that never ever want to stop learning.”
