Clayton Kershaw is Ridiculous

-One start after posting his 4th highest fantasy point score of the season, Kershaw upped the ante and put up 50.55 fantasy points on DraftKings. That was the highest score he’s posted this season.

-It was the 2nd most fantasy points he’s posted in a game since the start of the 2012 season. His career high was a 64.25 fantasy point game against the Rockies on June 19th, 2014.

-Prior to last night, the most fantasy points any pitcher has had against the Giants was 40.2 by Jacob deGrom against SFG on July 8th.

MLB PERFECT LINEUP

9-2 PL

NOTES:

-It’s not every day you see a pitcher toss a gem like Rick Porcello did and be on the losing end of a decision but that’s what happened last night at Fenway. Porcello had 13 Ks over 8 IP and allowed just 1 ER, which was enough to get him into the Perfect Lineup but not enough to nail down a win.

-The Rays were relatively unpopular last night but Drew Smyly’s 36 points and a breakout game from J.P. Arencibia (hitting 9th) put two of Tampa’s players in last night’s Perfect Lineup.

-The highest owned player in the DK Perfect Lineup was Yoenis Cespedes at 10.4%

-The lowest owned player in the DK Perfect Lineup was the a fore mentioned JP Arencibia at 0.1%

TOP 20 FANTASY POINT SCORERS

20 scorers

NOTES:

-The Royals were the highest scoring team on average last night. A big game from Yordano Ventura helped but their batters were also red hot as they averaged 12.8 fantasy points per player.

-The Rockies were the 2nd highest scoring team on average last night, thanks in large part to the pair of home runs from Carlos Gonzalez and his 38 fantasy points.

TOP 20 HIGHEST OWNED PLAYERS

Highest Owned

NOTES:

-Kershaw rewarded the 35% of DraftKings lineups who rostered him after posting the highest fantasy total of the night as well.

-Phil Gosselin was a relative disappointment last night. His price was extremely low and the game in Coors made him a tasty option but posting just 3 fantasy points wasn’t exactly the reward most were hoping for.

-The Coors game was the focal point on DraftKings last night. The Diamondbacks were the highest owned team on average at 6.38% owned and the Rockies were the 2nd highest owned team on average at 4.67% owned.

-The lowest owned team last night was to be expected. The Giants were just 0.34% owned against Clayton Kershaw and company.

TOP 20 VALUE PLAYS

Value Plays

1 – Value Plays defined by top 20 players in terms of $/Pt (salary divided by total fantasy points).

NOTES:

-The best team for value last night was the Rockies, who were both popular and potent. Rockies players averaged $310 DK dollars spent per fantasy point scored.

– The 2nd best value team was the Royals, who were the highest scoring team on average as well.

-The worst team in terms of value was Cleveland who struggled against R.A. Dickey in the Rogers Centre. The Indians weren’t overly popular but were still a disappointment averaging just 1.19 fantasy points per player and a $3277 $/pt average.
