This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.

High Priced First Lines

Pittsburgh Penguins

Sidney Crosby ($7700) – Pascal Dupuis ($4800) – Patric Hornqvist ($5700)

After starting the season strongly the Sabres have been hammered the past few games allowing 15 goals against in that span. The Pens have not been good this year and Crosby’s corsi-possession numbers are down a ton off of his career marks, usually a sign a player is not playing very well… I simply can’t see this slump though being the new norm for him or the Pens though and with new line mates a turnaround is likely for Sid at some point soon. The Sabres have been dominated in the last three games by team’s top lines and their youthful enthusiasm is probably not going to be enough to stop the Pens in this matchup. I like this night for the Pens best player and his entire line to get rolling.

Others: The Canadiens top line of Plekanec/Pacioretty/Gallagher has been great thus far in 2015 and gets an easy matchup versus the young Oilers who have also had problems keeping the puck out of their net.

Value Trios

Chicago Blackhawks

Artem Anisimov ($3800) – Artemi Panarin ($4700) – Patrick Kane ($7800)

Even though they’ve cooled of late the Hawks second line gets a nice matchup tonight against the Jets who consistently rate in the bottom half of the league for goals allowed. Anytime you can pair the talented Patrick Kane with two other cheap and talented offensive minded players a big night can potentially be on tap. Even through their dry patch this line has still seen a ton of ice of late and have the biggest usage rate of any Hawks line over the past three games. With all three all involved in special teams this is a great spot to again use two or all three of these players in your lineups.

Other: The Devils first line of Adam Henrique/Mike Cammalleri/Lee Stempniak have been great lately and are still super affordable on DK. They have a nice matchup versus the Flyers.

Contrarian Pick

New York Islanders

Frans Nielsen ($4600) – Kyle Okposo ($6100) – Anders Lee ($4900)

With everyone targeting John Tavares the Isles second line should be nicely under-owned tonight in a pretty decent matchup. Carolina will be putting in backup Eddie Lack who has been a bit of a gas can thus far in 2015 and the second line of the Isles could prosper. Both Lee and Nielsen have been getting a lot of shots on net and are more shoot first type players which is great for their SOG totals. Okposo is one of the most underrated forwards in the league and has been a consistent scorer for the Isles the past two seasons, he could really thrive now that he’s seeing some softer competition. A great tournament option, I’d potentially consider any of these players in cash games too.
