This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options every night.
High Priced First lines
Sean Monahan ($5700) – Johnny Gaudreau ($6000) – Jiri Hudler ($5000)
The Flames may have had a slow start to the season but this trio has still been a huge force offensively. Second year winger Johnny Gaudreau is off to a better ppg start than in 2015-16 and winger Jiri Hudler has also been chipping in offensively of late with three points in his last two games. This line should be heavily involved in tonight’s contest as the Flames go on the road against a heavily powered Isles team who still allows the 10th most goals per game against. This game has the highest over under on the slate and should be a great target for fantasy, I won’t be shocked if the Flames first line puts up a multi-point night… target them as a trio in tournaments and feel free to use any of the three in cash games as well.

Frans Nielsen ($4400) – Anders Lee ($4800) – Kyle Okposo ($5900)
The Isles recently shuffled their top three lines and the trio of Nielson-Lee and Okposo, who were very solid at points last season have been reunited. While most people gravitate towards playing whatever line John Tavares is on when stacking this line might actually see softer overall minutes and have a great shot at racking up a multi-point night against a weak Flames team. I love the fact all of these players are offensively gifted players who also will get some work on the PP at various points in the night (depending of course on how many PP’s the Isles get). I expect a back and forth affair and won’t be shocked if this trio does a lot of the damage for the Islanders. I love their affordability for tournaments and think they’ll be somewhat overlooked.
Patrick Maroon ($4200) – Rickard Rakell ($3100) – Corey Perry ($7000)
On a short slate if you’re eyeing a good tournament play I’d definitely target the Anaheim Duck players as they are severely overdue for a breakout and will be very low owned tonight. Of all the Ducks lines I like this trio the most as both Rikall and Perry are getting first line PP time and have some of the best goal scoring ability on the entire team. I can’t see Perry not breaking out for a multi goal game soon and when he does his line mates will undoubtedly benefit from some cheap assists too. If looking for a boom or bust contrarian play to possibly give you an edge in tournaments this is it… I can’t see the Ducks offense being quiet for much longer.
