This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options every night.
High Priced First lines
Mikael Granlund ($4400) – Zach Parise ($7900) – Jason Pominville ($5600)
The Columbus Blue Jackets fired their coach yesterday and replaced him with John Tortorella. While I’m sure Torts and his anger management issues will eventually have an influence on Columbus I’m not so sure he’ll be able to stop Columbus’ porous defense from allowing at least a few more goals tonight. The top line of the Wild have a great matchup and even though they’ve gone a couple games without scoring this is a great spot to target them. Zach Parise has multi-point potential and I love the fact Jason Pominville is always on the score sheet with a few shots on net and often gets featured on the PP. Don’t be shocked if they dominate tonight and all three produce well.
Others: the unit of Sidney Crosby – Phil Kessel – Chris Kunitz finally broke out in their last game and gets a great matchup versus Dallas tonight
Artem Anisimov ($3800) – Patrick Kane ($7700) – Artemi Panarin ($4600)
The second line of the Hawks has been producing at a great clip the past couple games. With new centre Artem Anisimov adjusting to his new digs and line mate, and rookie, Artemi Panarin making the most of his time in Chicago’s top 6 this line has been making hay against softer competition. With the Toew’s line doing most of the hard work for Chicago this scoring line should continue to get softer minutes and will be in no danger of slowing down versus a younger Panthers squad who has shown improvement thus far in 2015 but is still not considered a defensive juggernaut. I love the savings you get here and would consider stacking this trio on tonight’s slate.
Adam Henrique ($4400) – Mike Cammalleri ($4900) – Lee Stempniak ($3100)
The Devils first line trio have all been playing quite well of late and all three of these players have multiple points over their last couple of games. The Devils will be playing the Senators tonight who are dead last in the league in shots allowed per game right now at 34 per. You might not think of the Devils as a high scoring team but all three of these players have offensive skill and could go off for you on a given night. I love the matchup and also the savings as this is the most affordable first line trio in the entire league at the moment. Expect some production and a possible big night as NJ goes for its third win of the young season.
