This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
High Priced First lines
Tyler Johnson ($5600) – Nikita Kucherov ($5400) – Alex Killorn ($3800)
This line started the season incredibly slow but have finally picked things up recently. The recent of addition of Killorn over Ondrej Palat may have helped ignite Johnson and Kucherov as that duo has recorded 5 points in their last two games, easily their best stretch thus far in 2015. The Lightening get the completely overmatched Buffalo Sabres tonight and this line should see lots of soft minutes. You can stack the entire line and hope for some regular strength magic or just use Kucherov and Johnson together as they are almost always paired together on the PP too. Either way this is a line I’d want some exposure to tonight.
Others: The other top line I’d recommend looking at tonight is Carter/Toffoli/Lucic on the Kings, they’ve been playing great since being put together and have a great matchup against Columbus too.
Patrice Bergeron ($6000) – Brad Marchand ($5000) – Brett Connolly ($3200)
Even though the Bruins are playing a quality opponent tonight using this trio as a value play isn’t a bad idea. With ten points in their last three games this line has been doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the Bruins who have put up at least three goals in each of their last 7 games. With all three of these players seeing time on the PP expecting one or more of them to get on the score sheet is completely realistic and the savings you get by rostering all three allows you more firepower in at other positions. Ride the Bruins offensive resurgence and consider this trio for value purposes tonight in what could be a high scoring game.
Sean Monahan ($5400) – Johnny Gaudreau ($6100) – Sam Bennett ($3500)
The Flames have been bad this year and in effort to create some more offense put together this line which features a lot of young talent. Monahan has been amazingly consistent since breaking into the league and Gaudreau has been a great source of fantasy points even in the Flames dry spell. Rookie addition Sam Bennett has also been on fire lately putting up 6 points in his last four games. The Flames get a great matchup against the equally hopeless Flyers who just let the Oilers top line have a monster night. Don’t be shocked if the Flames top unit lights the lap a few times tonight. They could be a great tournament stack.
