This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.

High Priced First lines
David Backes ($4600) – Vladimir Tarasenko ($7700) – Alex Steen ($6600)
The Blues first line has been heating up a tiny bit lately and gets a pretty tasty matchup tonight against the reeling Winnipeg Jets. The Jets have given up a boatload of goals in their last 4-5 games and with the Blues looking better offensively of late there’s some opportunity for a big night from their first line. David Backes has been playing on the Blues PP all season but tonight will be centring their first unit at even strength as well and I’m expecting good things from this change as Jori Lehtera wasn’t getting the job done as the number one centre for STL. Take advantage of this switch and use Backes with Tarasenko and Steen for a high upside stack.

Martin Hanzal ($4300) – Tobias Rieder ($4000) – Anthony Duclair ($4000)
While most people will be targeting the Islanders first unit PP and first line tonight it makes sense to also consider using some of the Arizona players as well. The line of Hanzal, Rieder and Duclair have actually been quite productive all season and also see a ton of time on the PP together for the Coyotes. As far as first lines go this unit isn’t going to be popular but they have recorded 10 points together over their last four games and all come at prices of less than $4500. Using two or all three of these players gives you great correlation and will save you a ton of roster space for bigger name players at other positions. In a game with one of the highest projected totals of the night don’t be shocked if these three end up producing nicely for fantasy.

Pavel Datsyuk ($5300) – Tomas Tatar ($5000) – Dylan Larkin ($4400)
Pavel Datsyuk’s return hasn’t sparked Detroit’s offense yet but tonight may be the night we see some production from the superstar. At only $5300 Datsyuk is great value right now and sooner or later he will start producing at the rate which saw him net 65 points last year. Using the incredibly skilled Datsyuk with rookie Dylan Larkin and sniper Tomas Tatar definitely has some big potential as all three men are skilled offensively and all three will likely see time on the PP together. The Red Wing/Senator game has the highest expected point total of all the games on the slate and I think using this line in tournaments is a great idea. Take advantage of the low price on Datsyuk while you can and stack him and his linemates in a great matchup tonight.
