This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.

High Priced First lines

Thomas Plekanec ($6100)—Max Pacioretty ($8000) – Brendan Gallagher ($5800)

The Montreal Canadians have been relying heavily on their first line so far in 2015-16 and they’ve been producing of late with 13 points combined in their last 3 games. Tonight they get a matchup with the talented, but defensively challenged Colorado Avalanche and this line will once again be in a great spot to post some production for your fantasy rosters. The great thing about this trio is that they’re all on the PP together at some point in the game so using all three means you have a great shot at some correlation points if one should one score. Get yourself a piece of this fantasy machine tonight.

Value Trios

Dylan Larkin ($4400) – Tomas Tatar ($5100) – Gustav Nyquist ($5200)

I really love this newly formed line and they came through last night with three points between them. I left my write up from last night below and like the spot for them even more tonight vs. the Bruins who have been allowing a lot of goals thus far in 2015-16.

** (from yesterday) With the return of Pavel Datsyuk the entire Detroit lineup gets a bump up but it’s their second line who I’ll be targeting tonight. Youngster Dylan Larkin, who showed a lot of promise while filling in for Datsyuk in his absence, will centre this trio and I love the offensive potential of all three players. With most teams now lining up their best defensive players against the Zetterberg/Datsyuk line this trio should see weaker competition in the future and just be in better spots for big nights going forward. This is a great line to use for tournaments, and I also like all three as simple value plays for filling out a roster.

Contrarian Pick

Nathan MacKinnon ($7400) — Matt Duchene ($5400) — Mikhail Grigorenko ($2600) or Jarome Iginla ($5400)

While the Canadians first line is definitely the safer option, don’t be scared of considering some of the Colorado forwards for use tonight either. The Avalanche recently moved Matt Duchene up with their star Nathan MacKinnon and the results have been pretty fabulous as Duchene is now up to 5 points in his last 2 games. With Gabriel Landeskog out tonight (suspension) expect Mikhail Grigerenko to see a lot of time with Mackinnon/Duchene at even strength but also consider using Jarome Iginla with this pair too as he’ll see time on the PP with them. Either way the Colorado first line offers good upside for tournaments tonight and should be low owned.
