This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
**With only one game on Monday we get to pick from both tonight’s games and Tuesdays
High Priced First Lines
Ryan Getzlaf ($6700) – Corey Perry ($6900) – Patrick Maroon ($3800)
The Ducks have been playing well the past week and the main reason for that is that their top line is finally healthy and finally producing. The Ducks got Ryan Getzlaf back after a brief hospitalization (appendix) and ever since he’s returned the Ducks offense has been clicking. Both he and Corey Perry have four points in their last two games and line mate Patrick Maroon is also on a nice point streak as well. Against Arizona I don’t see any need to fade this line as the Ducks need wins to make up for a slow start and can’t afford to rest their top offensive line and go “balanced” in their attack. Patrick Maroon is a definitely a good value play tonight since he’s been riding shotgun with the Ducks superstars of late, but I’d definitely suggest getting some exposure to at least one of Getzlaf or Perry. There’s a good chance you could see big games from both.
Others: The other top line I’d recommend looking at tonight is MacKinnon/Iginla/Tanguay of the Avalanche, make sure Tanguay is playing though as he has an injury concern in his last game.
Derick Brassard ($5100) – Mats Zuccarello ($5200) – Emerson Etem ($2700)
The Rangers top 6 gets a great matchup Tuesday versus the weaker Hurricanes. Brassard and Zuccarello have really been the only source of consistent offense for the Rangers this year and with Rick Nash out the young Etem will be joining this trio again tonight in even strength situations. I like targeting all three men as the price means that even an above average night will see these three hit value. Both Brassard and Zuccarello are main stays on the PP for the Rangers and with Etem’s price being so cheap using him and hoping for some even strength production is fine too. Don’t be shy about rostering any of these three players tonight.
Adam Henrique ($4600) — Mike Cammalleri ($5100) — Lee Stempniak ($3600)
The Devils first line has been very productive all year and at a very reduced price too. The Devils top line is now up to 9 points in their last 2 games and even though the matchup on Tuesday versus the Blues isn’t great I would still consider them as a play in tournaments. The Devils are winners of 4 of their last 5 games and have scored 3 or more times in that span as well. This line has been the main catalyst offensively for them all year and for the reduced price you can fit in all three and still have room for big name players. Don’t be scared off of them in tournaments and consider one or all for cash games too.
