This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.

High Priced First lines

Mikko Koivu ($5000) – Zach Parise ($7900) – Jason Zucker ($5000) or Jason Pominville ($4700)

The Wild get the Dallas Stars tonight who despite being one of the best teams in the league have struggled defensively at times this season. The game between Dallas and Minnesota has one of the highest over/unders on the slate today making it a good fantasy target and a good time to consider rostering some Minnesota players. Zach Parise has been terrific recently scoring 4 times in his last two games and will play most of the night with centre Miiko Koivu who hasn’t produced much of late but will get to play most of the night with Parise as his winger (including on the PP). You can pair these two with either Pominville, who will see power play time with the aforementioned duo, or Zucker who will be with them more at even strength. Either way the matchup sets up well for some decent correlation scoring in a possible shootout.

Value Trios

Eric Staal ($4800) – Elias Lindholm ($3800) – Kris Versteeg ($3900)

I nearly recommended this line last night as a value play and didn’t want to miss out for a second night in a row. The Hurricanes take on the struggling Blue Jackets again tonight and the Canes top line makes for a great value target as a result. Columbus has allowed more than three goals in each of their last seven games and have struggled defensively ever since their stud goalie Sergei Bobrovsky went down. The trade of Ryan Johansen signaled the end for the Blue Jackets this year in terms of having any hope of making the playoffs and I’d suggest the team makes for a nightly target for skaters from here on out. Stall and Lindholm play a ton together on the power-play and should have a decent shot at nabbing a couple points tonight. Versteeg makes for a good cheap option on wing as he’ll skate with them at even strength and also be used on the PP at times himself. If employing a stars and scrubs approach this is a great line to target for value.

Contrarian Pick

Ryan Johansen ($5700) – James Neal ($5800) – Colin Wilson ($3500) or Filip Forsberg ($5800)

Ryan Johansen started off his Predator career nicely last game with a top shelf snipe from an awkward angle. The Preds lost the game however and James Neal is now riding a pretty long scoreless and pointless streak. Still, I love this matchup against the Coyotes for Neal to get back on track and think this line could produce big things for fantasy in this spot. The Coyotes allow a ton of shots on net every game and are weak at killing penalties which bodes well for both Johansen and Neal who should be paired together a lot of this game. You can pair them with the more talented Forsberg, who should see time with them on special teams, or Wilson, who’s more of a grinder but will be out there at regular strength with these two. This is a great group to target for tournaments, tonight.
