This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
High Priced First lines
Artem Anisimov ($4900) – Patrick Kane ($8700) – Artemi Panarin ($6200)
The Dallas Stars look like they’ll be without the services of one of their top centres tonight which will make matching up with the talented scoring line of the Blackhawks even more difficult. This line has been burning up the score sheet all season but tonight presents a matchup which makes a big night seem more likely than usual. The game itself has one of the highest over-under totals on the slate and the Stars are hurting a bit with injuries. With this trio being so deadly as a unit stacking them tonight and hoping for an explosion seems like a decent idea. The Stars have improved immensely this season but still give up their fair share of goals and have a below average penalty kill. If you’re looking to target a top line tonight I’d probably aim for this scoring unit and hope the game turns into a shootout, it certainly has the potential to do so.

Tyler Bozak ($4400) – P.A. Parenteau ($4000) – Shaun Mattius ($3000) or Michael Grabner ($3300)
While I don’t like to make a habit out of targeting the Leafs pop-gun offense the matchup tonight against the defensively inept Senators is a good one and means there’s some potentially good value plays on the Leafs tonight. The duo of Bozak-Parenteau has potential and will see a lot of time together at even strength and on the power-play against the Sens league worst penalty kill. I love the fact that the Senators also allow a ton of shots on net making a decent night for any of these incredibly cheap players more likely. Expect Shaun Mattius to play with Bozak-Parenteau on the power-play and for Michael Grabner to see time with them at even strength. Either could be a source of cheap fantasy points tonight and I like stacking the aforementioned duo with one of these players if looking for a cheap line stack.
Mika Zibanejad ($4500) – Mike Hoffman ($5900) – Bobby Ryan ($5600)
A lot of people will be targeting the Senators defense tonight and in the future but don’t forget that they have a pretty good offense as well. The Leafs are by no means an elite team and have given up the fourth most shots in the league as a team and have a middling penalty kill. I expect the Senators to come out with some serious emotion in this game after getting blown out in their last game on home ice and I’d be shocked if this line didn’t at least make some kind of appearance on the scoresheet. This is a line that could easily produce two or three goals in this matchup and I’d definitely take advantage of their lower ownership percentage tonight in tournaments. They make for a great contrarian play.
