This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options every night.
High Priced First lines
Pavel Datsyuk ($6000) – Henrik Zetterberg ($5600) – Justin Abdelkadar ($4600)
The pairing of Datsyuk and Zetterberg have been reunited on the top line for Detroit and the results have been great. This line now has 9 points in its last three games and is also entrenched as the Wings top power play unit, which makes them one of the best units for correlation scoring purposes in fantasy. The matchup with the Avalanche tonight looks like a great opportunity for this line to continue rolling as Colorado gives up the third most shots on net per game in the league and has a weaker penalty killing unit as well. I’d take advantage of Detroit combing their two best players onto one line and roll them both out in a line stack tonight with the cheap Abdelkadar. Their one of my favorite trios by far on the slate tonight and makes for a great target if you’re looking for some real upside in your rosters.

Tomas Plekanec ($5100) – Alex Galchenyuk ($4400) – Brendan Gallagher ($5900)
The Canadians have mixed up their lines recently and it’s created some opportunity to get some talented players at cheaper prices on DraftKings as a result. Since Alex Galchenyuk has joined this line and he’s seen his SOG totals and offensive opportunities go up as a result and seems to be more comfortable riding shotgun with two talented players. This trio have also been playing together at both even strength and on the power-play making them another strong candidate for some serious correlation scoring in fantasy tonight. I love the fact all three players are under 6k in price and also like the matchup tonight with the Sabres who are on the back end of a back to back and have had some issues keeping the puck out of their own net lately. A big game could be had here by this cheap but potent trio for MTL.
Sean Monahan ($5900) – Johnny Gaudreau ($7000) – Jiri Hudler ($4200)
Both Monahan and Gaudreau are coming off an embarrassing benching for missing a practice after the superbowl, but bounced back in nice fashion in their last game with 3 points between them. Tonight this trio gets to take on the Arizona Coyotes who have struggled immensely of late and are now losers of five straight games. Starting goalie Louis Domingue had a nice run but is showing signs of regression having allowed 17 goals over his last 4 games. This line sees the most power-play time of any unit for the Flames and as a trio have some nice correlation upside. I’d target the weaker defense and special teams of the Coyotes tonight with this line and would expect they might go overlooked in tournaments as most people focus on more popular options and players.
