This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
High Priced First lines
Paul Stastny ($4900) – Vladimir Tarasenko ($8100) – Alex Steen ($7100)
I discussed a lot of STL players in the NHL Cheat sheet today and also think that on top of using Blues players on their own, stacking them together as a line tonight isn’t a horrible idea either. The Stars struggle against the power play and all three of these men will see time on the first unit together. While it’s possible Steen gets bumped down to the second tonight to provide some depth at even strength I still like targeting this trio (and possibly D-man Kevin Shattenkirk as well) and hoping the Blues power play really has a big night. All in all the Stars/Blues game should be ripe for some scoring and I think using two or three of these players together tonight makes sense.

Anze Kopitar ($5200) – Marian Gaborik ($4700) – Milan Lucic ($4700)
This line was put back together recently and even though they haven’t done much the last two games there’s reason to think these three could have a big game tonight versus the Coyotes. Despite playing well in their last two games Arizona still allows the second most goals against per game in the entire league as team and is also bottom ten in how many shots they allow. All three of these players have been seeing increased time on the power play together recently as the Kings try and jumpstart their struggling offense. Against a weaker team tonight this trio statically is in a good spot for a big game and with their price so cheap, is a good target if you need a cheap correlation play.
Calle Jarnkrok ($3300) – James Neal ($6100) – Filip Forsberg ($5800)
This line has been broken up at even strength the past few games but still see’s significant time together on the Power Play and could always be reunited for a shift or two in game. Even if the three don’t play together a ton there will be some chances for correlation scoring on special teams and all three of these players have been very solid recently combing for 8 points in their last three games. The Preds have what I’d describe as an OK matchup tonight versus the struggling Red Wings but have been solid offensively lately potting 8 goals in their last 2 games as a team. I could see this line having a big night and keeping things rolling for Nashville. They should be low owned and will definitely be a good line to target for tournies.
