This article will identify the best line-stacking combos to use for fantasy hockey purposes every night. Considering that at least one player on a forward line will often get an assist on a goal when his line mate scores, stacking players from the same line can prove very fruitful for fantasy purposes. Use these targets to help identify some of your best options ever night.
High Priced First lines
Patrice Bergeron ($6700) – Brad Marchand ($5900) – Brett Connolly ($3100)
This Bruins line has been exceeding offensive expectations all season. Patrice Bergeron has been a fixture on the first unit PP and is still on a point per game pace through 28 games. Meanwhile Brad Marchand has been excellent on the wing this season and is on pace to smash his highest season goal total. All three of these men see time on the powerplay and against the Oilers, who are prone to defensive gaps and mistakes, this line could feast both on the PP and at even strength in this matchup. I do like targeting both sides of this game on a short slate but would recommend you think about stacking this line particularly if looking to target Boston skaters.

Riley Sheahan ($3100) – Gustav Nyquist ($5100) – Tomas Tatar ($5300)
This is a great line to target tonight if you need a value stack. The Wings play the Sabres who haven’t played well defensively of late and this Red Wings line features two skilled goal scorers and a cheap young centre for a very affordable price. All three of these men will see time on the PP and while Sheahan doesn’t exactly score a ton of points the opportunities for a cheap assist or two will definitely be there playing with Detroit’s top two goal scorers at even strength. There’s not many lines priced this affordably that truly have multi-goal upside from two different players but this one does and could easily pay off for you if either Nyquist or Tatar ends up having a big night. I like the opponent tonight and the opportunities this line is getting.
Jeff Carter ($6500) – Tyler Toffoli ($5700) – Milan Lucic ($4700)
This line has gone through a bit of a dry spell recently but tonight is a decent spot for this group to breakout. The Sens give up the most shots on goal per game as a team in the league and also rank near the bottom in both penalty killing and goals against. This bodes well for LA’s skaters who, on average, get the most shots on net per game. While Tyler Toffoli has been held without a point in his last 7 games he’s still taking regular shifts beside Carter and Lucic and all three will see plenty of ice time together at even strength. It’s also likely Carter and Lucic will be together on the PP which bodes well for their production and makes them the best duo to target if you’re only looking to use two of these players together. Either way, the matchup tonight is very good and I’d definitely recommend using part or all of this Kings line.
