Top Lines of the Night

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Philadelphia Flyers

Nazem Kadri ($6,300) – Mitchell Marner ($6,000) – James van Riemsdyk ($5,900)

This line has picked up the scoring slack for the Leafs with Auston Matthews mired in a three-game scoring slump. Kadri has goals in back-to-back games, one on the power play (PP), and he’s fired four shots on goal (SOG) in those two games. He has six goals and seven points in his last 10 games. Marner has a three-game point streak going, with two power play points (PPP), and he is coming off a multi-point game on Tuesday against the Wings. JVR has two points, one PP goal, and 13 SOG in his last three games. The Leafs host the Flyers tonight, and Philadelphia is allowing the fourth-most goals against per game on the road in the NHL this season.

Chicago Blackhawks vs Anaheim Ducks

Patrick Kane ($8,000) – Artem Anisimov ($4,800) – Artemi Panarin ($6,400)

Kane has been tearing the league up over his last 10 games, posting 12 goals (two hat-tricks) and 17 points. He’s added four PPP and 41 SOG and has ridden those 17 points to a tie for second in the league with 70 points. Panarin comes into tonight with a five-game point streak and has points in six of his last seven games. Anisimov returned to the lineup on Saturday against Nashville after missing a game for injury reasons. He had six points in his eight games before he was hurt.

Superstar to Build Around

John Tavares ($7,100) – Tavares and the Isles have a great matchup tonight against the Canucks. JT comes into this game with points in back-to-back games, and with points in seven of his last 10 overall. He has seven points and 23 SOG in seven games on the Isles current road trip, and he is coming off a multi-assist game against the Oilers on Tuesday night. He has an assist already this season against the Canucks and has nine points in nine career games against Vancouver.

Value on Offense

Jordan Weal ($3,700) – Weal is getting a great opportunity to play on the Flyers’ top line with Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds. Weal has been a great scorer in his AHL career and has three points in eight games with Philly. He is coming off a multi-point game on Tuesday night against the Sabres.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau ($4,200) – Pageau is looking good skating on a line with Mike Hoffman and has a three-game point streak going coming into tonight’s game against the Coyotes. He has goals in back-to-back games and is entrenched in the Senators’ top-six going forward.

Stud Goalies

Carey Price ($7,800) – Price has a tough draw tonight facing a Flames team that comes in riding a seven-game winning streak. Price has been too good as of late to overlook, however. He enters tonight on a five-game winning streak of his own and has not allowed more than two goals against in a game in his last eight starts.

Thomas Greiss ($7,400) – Greiss has been up-and-down on the Isles’ road trip, but he is coming off a fantastic outing on Tuesday night against the Oilers. Greiss turned aside 27 of 28 shots against the Oilers’ potent offense, and he gets the nod again tonight against the Canucks, who rank 28th in the league in scoring.

Value on Defense

Jaccob Slavin ($3,900) – Slavin picked up an assist on Tuesday in the Hurricanes’ loss to Colorado to extend his point streak to five games. Slavin has one assist in each of the five games on his current run and looks to continue it tonight against the Rangers, who he has two assists in three games against this season.

Tyson Barrie ($4,500) – Barrie had a part in all three of the Avs’ goals on Tuesday night against Carolina, netting his sixth goal of the season and adding two assists, one on the PP. He added a blocked shot and three SOG to round off his 9.0 DKFP night and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Devils.

Power Play Defensemen

Duncan Keith ($5,300) – Despite not having much production on the PP as of late, with only one PPP in his last 10 games, Keith has been productive at even strength. He enters tonight’s game against the Ducks with a four-game assist streak, and he is picking up great peripheral numbers. Keith has 12 SOG and seven blocks in those four games. He has one goal and seven points in his last 10 games overall. He enters tonight in a tie for eighth in the league with 40 assists this season.

Drew Doughty ($5,000) – Doughty has picked up PPP in back-to-back games for the Kings. The LA blue-liner has collected a PP assist in each of his last two games, and he has three points in his last five games. Doughty and the Kings face the Predators tonight, and Nashville’s defense has been porous as of late and they are middle-of-the-pack on the penalty kill.
