Top Lines of the Night

Nashville Predators @ Anaheim Ducks

Filip Forsberg ($6,700) – Ryan Johansen ($5,800) – Viktor Arivdsson ($6,200)

With the current form of this line and the struggles the Ducks have had in net since John Gibson’s injury, this is my top line of the night. Forsberg is one of the hottest scorers in the league, posting 11 goals and 16 points in his last 10 games. Johansen joins Forsberg with double-digit points as of late, posting 11 points (10 assists) in his last seven games, including three power-play points (PPP). Arivdsson has points in six of his last seven games and in eight of his last 10 games overall. He’s coming off a multi-goal outing against the Blackhawks over the weekend.

Buffalo Sabres vs Philadelphia Flyers

Jack Eichel ($7,500) – Sam Reinhart ($5,100) – Marcus Foligno ($3,600)

Eichel is tearing the league up at the moment, riding a 10-game point streak into tonight’s matchup with the Flyers. He has 13 points, four PPP and 45 shots on goal (SOG) in his last 10 games, and is coming off a goal and 10 SOG against the Penguins. Reinhart has had a solid season with Eichel and has three points in his last three games with Eichel. He has six points in his last eight games overall. Foligno is the value on this line and he too has points in two of his last three games. He has also added seven SOG in those games and is a great price tonight.

Superstar to Build Around

Connor McDavid ($8,100) – With points in nine of his last 10 games, McDavid is my top player to build around tonight, especially in this matchup against the Islanders. McDavid has four goals and 14 points in his last 10 games, to go along with 29 SOG. He enters tonight on a five-game point streak that has seen him produce two goals and five assists, adding to his league-leading 74 points. The Islanders enter tonight allowing three goals against per game on their current road trip.

Value on Offense

Valtteri Filppula ($4,500) – Filppula has looked very strong with the Flyers since his trade there last week. Filppula scored a goal in his Flyers debut and has five SOG over his first two games. He faces the Sabres tonight and he’s had three points in two games against Buffalo with Tampa Bay this season.

Justin Abdelkader ($3,600) – Abdelkader is skating on the Wings’ third line but he’s been a great value buy as of late. He is riding a three-game point streak and has points in four of his last five games. On his three-game streak, he has a power play goal (PPG) and three assists while seeing over 18 minutes of ice time per night.

Stud Goalies

USATSI_9920951_168381090_lowres

Devan Dubnyk ($8,100) – Dubnyk continues to be consistently fantastic this season, especially at home. Dubnyk leads the NHL in wins and save percentage (SV%) and is second in goals-against average (GAA). He’s 20-7-0 with a 2.00 GAA at home this season and faces the Blues there tonight. He’s 2-1-1 in four games against St. Louis this season.

Sergei Bobrovsky ($8,400) – Bobrovsky has been fantastic in his last four starts, going 3-0-1 and has posted back-to-back shutouts, his most recent against the Devils, who he faces tonight. He’s top five in the league among goalies in all major categories and is 6-3-1 in his last 10 games.

Value on Defense

Nick Leddy ($4,500) – Despite the Islanders struggles of late, Leddy has been solid. He has points in three of his last five games on the Isles’ road trip, posting a goal and three assists. He’s added eight SOG and eight blocks. Leddy has a goal in his only game against the Oilers, who the Isles face tonight in Edmonton.

Jaccob Slavin ($3,900) – Slavin has come on very strong as of late and enters tonight riding a four-game point streak. He has posted an assist in each of his last four games and is generating solid peripherals with six blocked shots and seven SOG and has a prime matchup tonight with the lowly Avalanche.

Power Play Defensemen

Shea Weber ($5,600) – Weber has looked very good for the Canadiens and has another great matchup tonight against Vancouver. The Habs’ blueliner has points in three of his last four, and has six points in his last seven games, with three PPP. He has a goal, three assists, and two PP assists to go along with five SOG and seven blocks in his last four games.

P.K. Subban ($5,200) – Not only is Subban at a really good price tonight, he is reaping the benefits of exposure to the Predators’ top line at the moment. Subban has 12 points and five PPP over the course of his last 10 games, while seeing well over 23 minutes of ice time per game. As I said earlier, the Ducks have struggled since the loss of John Gibson, with Jonathan Bernier allowing 10 goals in his last four starts, making Nashville’s impact players very appealing options tonight.
