Week 1 Fantasy Roundup
Week 1 of the football season did not disappoint, with several games coming down to the wire. The biggest fantasy play of the day occurred when Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks connected on a 98 yard touchdown pass in the Saints loss to the Raiders. Brees, Cooks, and Willie Snead each scored over 35 fantasy points.
While the Saints were handed a late loss by the Raiders, DraftKings user “RandyRanderson1” rode the Saints passing attack to victory on Sunday. His week 1 lineup on DraftKings featured Brees, Cooks, and Willie Snead, who each scored at least 35 fantasy points.
The 9 player lineup entered into the Fantasy Football Millionaire was good for first place and the $1 Million Prize.
Check out his full lineup below, which scored over 250 points in week 1.
Week 2 Targets
QB Derek Carr ($7,200) is home against the Falcons, who struggled to stop the Bucs pass offense in Week 1. Combining him with Amari Cooper or Michael Crabtree could be a smart play.
The 49ers are traveling to Carolina to face Jonathan Stewart ($5,400) and the Panthers. While the Panthers have had 10 days of rest, the 49ers are coming off a Monday night game and will likely trail the majority of the game. Look for the Panthers to lean on Stewart, control the line of scrimmage, and get him lots of touches.
With Keenan Allen placed on the IR recently, Travis Benjamin ($4,400) and Tyrell Williams ($3,700) are upgraded to the top Chargers receivers. A home game vs Jacksonville is a manageable matchup that make both fairly safe plays.
