Congratulations to BALLAH who finished first in DraftKings Week 1 NFL Millionaire Maker Contest. BALLAH took home $2 million with his winning lineup.
BALLAH’s lineup shows what it takes to win a DraftKings Millionaire tournament. All of his players produced. His lowest scorer was John Brown at 14.6 points. That balance ended up being the difference. BALLAH took the top spot by just .38 points.
The guy who brought home the money for BALLAH was Carlos Hyde. Hyde rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns, while adding two receptions for 14 yards. It came right down to the wire. Late in the game with the 49ers leading 20-3 and running out the clock, Hyde gained 17 yards on his final three carries. Hyde was only owned by 5.1% of players.
BALLAH grabbed another low-owned option at tight end that produced big results. Tyler Eifert was owned by just 3.9% of participants but broke out with nine catches for 104 yards and two scores. Tight end was a tough call in Week 1. There was no Gronk and a lot of guys bunched together at similar salaries. BALLAH’s decision to go with Eifert paid off big-time.
Tony Romo was surprisingly owned by fewer than 10% of Week 1 players despite his recent success against the Giants. BALLAH wasn’t fooled. He basked in Romo’s late-game heroics and gladly took his 27.14 fantasy points.
BALLAH was a big Jets fan on Sunday. Chris Ivory plowed his way to 91 yards and two scores for him. BALLAH also watched the Jets’ defense feast on Johnny Manziel and the Browns’ offense for 17 fantasy points.
BALLAH also went with some highly-owned studs like Julio Jones and Eddie Lacy. Jones ripped the Eagles’ defense for 38.1 fantasy points and a late score helped Lacy get to 17.9.
Overall, BALLAH’s lineup delivered in all areas and it needed to because the battle for the $2 million was razor close. It came down to Hyde, who ended up being the top running back of Week 1. The decision to start Hyde is a big reason why BALLAH is a now a millionaire.
