Each week, I’ll be playing the age old game, NFL style. There are always new faces that pop up, and you’ll need to know which guys to chase or fade. Get me on Twitter – @lonero_justin. Let’s get to it!

Todd Gurley – $4,300 (Chase)

Gurley ran for 146 yards on 19 carries, and also had two receptions in a win over the Cardinals last week. Head coach Jeff Fisher will ride Gurley like a bull each week, so expect the volume is going to be there. It looks as if Gurley is going to be one of the few bell cows left in the league, and he needs to be played week five. The tenth overall pick impressed with four, 20+ yard runs in the second half. His price is going to increase each week, the time to buy is now.

Josh McCown – $5,100 (Fade)

McCown had a much better supporting cast in Tampa Bay last season with Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans. What he has done the last two weeks looks ridiculous. In week four he was 32-of-41 for 356 yards, and zero interceptions, and the previous week he lit up Oakland. This week McCown has another cupcake matchup against a middle of the road Ravens secondary. The Browns have McCown chucking the pigskin 45 times a game and chances are they will be playing from behind on the road. I’ll give him another week at his cheap price, i’m just not sold on the talent surrounding him.

Allen Hurns – $4,500 (Chase)

The fact the Jaguars have two starting wide receivers named Allen is somewhat unusual, and kind of funny as well. Allen Robinson receives most of the attention and notoriety, where Hurns was undrafted. Hurns was targeted 15 times and had 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown last week. Shutdown corner Vontae Davis had Allen Robinson on lockdown, so the opportunities were in abundance for Hurns. Hurns has touchdowns in back-to-back games now.

Tavon Austin – $4,300 (Fade)

Last week I wasn’t sold on Kenny Britt in Whack-A-Mole, this week i’m not sold on Austin. Austin did have two touchdowns last week, but the Rams offense that doesn’t have a ton of consistency. With the return of Brian Quick, and Todd Gurley it is difficult to gauge the Rams offense week to week. I will say though that Austin does bring the special teams added dimension to DFS.

Duke Johnson- $4,600 (Fade)

I cannot believe i’m mentioning two Browns players in Whack-A-Mole! One thing that intrigues me about Duke Johnson is the 9-of-10 targets he caught in week four. He’ll be in a time share with Isaiah Crowell which leaves me skeptical about his usage. The Browns have been whiffing left, and right with running backs and it’s going to be tough to play Johnson with confidence against a tough Baltimore run defense. Johnson will be a great tournament option and should see low ownership. I missed with Gary Barnidge last week and for that i’m truly sorry. I am also a realist that see’s very little value in much of the Browns offense.

Leonard Hankerson – $4,000 (Chase)

While much attention (rightfully so) is geared towards Julio Jones in coverage, Leonard Hankerson has been Matt Ryan’s second best option in the passing game. In week four Hankerson caught 6-of-8 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown. Roddy White is showing his age, and has been non- existent. At $4,000 his price seems terrific. Not bad for a player in offense that is scoring points in buckets.
