With 3 weeks remaining, there are some impact players with injury concerns heading into Week 15. After posting a record day against the Packers, Julio Jones is iffy for Sunday with a hip injury. Jamaal Charles and Eddie Lacy have recently been upgraded, but their statuses could also be in question. Keep an eye on the inactives list Sunday to uncover low-cost values from backups thrust into starting roles.
Turn $27 into $1 MILLION in DraftKings’ $3M Millionaire Maker World Championship contest this Sunday! This is the season’s final “Millionaire Maker” and it is bigger than ever before!
DeAndre Hopkins, HOU @ IND, $6,100 – After posting a ridiculous line of 9 catches for 238 yards and 2 scores in Week 13, Hopkins has actually seen his price drop $500 since then. Andre Johnson went down with a concussion last week and has yet to pass the league protocol, making him highly questionable on Sunday. The Texans are facing a Colts team that they have never beaten on the road, despite 12 tries. If Johnson is inactive, Hopkins should see an uptick in targets and has potential for a huge day. He is barely priced in the Top 20 this week and remains underrated in his sophomore campaign. With 3 games remaining, he has already surpassed every statistical category from his rookie year and looks like the Texans top WR for years to come.
Derek Anderson, TB @ CAR, $5,000 – Just as Cam Newton was coming off the his best game of the season with 4 TDs, back fractures from a car accident will keep him sidelined against the Buccaneers. When the Panthers dominated the Saints 41-10 last week in New Orleans, they moved to within one win of the division lead. With the season on the line, enter Derek Anderson who last started Week 1, against the same team he’ll face this weekend. Previously, he led the Panthers to a win in Tampa Bay, throwing 2 TDs with an efficient QB rating of 109. With Jonathan Stewart rushing for 155 yards last week and the team in desperation mode, Anderson is an intriguing option at home this week. He’ll cost you nothing additional, listed at the QB minimum price.
Jeremy Hill, CIN @ CLE, $4,300 – As the 2nd RB off the board in this year’s draft, the former LSU Tiger leads all rookies in rushing with 729 yards, good for 14th in the NFL. The Bengals have struggled to run the ball the past 3 weeks since Giovani Bernard’s return, and OC Hue Jackson recently expressed the desire to stick with one primary back. It has been widely speculated that Hill will get the bulk of carries Sunday, which certainly boosts his value. His price is down $1,600 since Week 9, presenting a nice discount this week. As our 25th priced RB, Hill appears especially affordable in this divisional matchup with the Browns.
Nate Washington, NYJ @ TEN, $4,300 – Injuries have been piling up for the lowly Titans, as Justin Hunter and Zach Mettenberger were recently placed on Injured Reserve, and Kendall Wright questionable after missing last week. Washington should benefit from the absence of Hunter and Wright, and should see an uptick in targets from Jake Locker. Over the past 4 games, he has posted some fairly solid totals with 260 receiving yards and 2 scores. He will also benefit from facing a weak Jets secondary that has struggled all year. As our 46th priced WR, he presents a nice value this week as Locker’s go-to guy.
Scott Chandler, GB @ BUF, $3,400 – Chandler had a season-high 11 targets last week in the Bills loss to the Broncos, finishing with 8 catches for 81 yards. He has produced his best games of the year in losses to the Patriots, Chargers, and Broncos with his team playing from behind. This is a good sign for Chandler, as the Bills will be tasked with keeping pace with the Packers, who are averaging over 40 PPG in their last 5 outings. Heading to Buffalo he is priced 16th at the position, just $400 above the TE minimum.
