We had a bad week last Thursday, going just 1-3, which dropped us to 22-18 on the season. But we’ve got another exciting divisional game in Oakland to kick off Week 10. The Chargers opened as one-point underdogs and have moved to slight two-point favorites, with the total getting bet down to 48. Here are some bets to consider for Thursday Night Football:

OAKLAND RAIDERS VS. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (8:20 P.M. ET)
Total Rushing Yards: Melvin Gordon OVER 49.5 (-118)
The Raiders have a solid run defense, allowing 92.5 yards per game on the ground, but the Chargers have found something on the ground the past two weeks. Philip Rivers has been acting as more of a game manager, while Gordon’s knocked off the rust and become a focal point in the offense. He broke out for a 20-80-2 line on the ground against the Packers last week. Gordon should have a great chance to rush for 50 or more yards in this one, just based on the volume of carries he should get alone.
Total Rushing Yards: Austin Ekeler OVER 22.5 (-140)
Just because Gordon has gotten more involved, it doesn’t mean Ekeler plays a role in the passing game only. He rushed 12 times for 70 yards last week, and the Chargers should be open to using both players on the ground. This number is just so low, it’s hard to pass on.
First Half: UNDER 23.5 (-113)
My first two props set up a game script that involves getting the ground game going, and that means burning some clock. We need to see four first-half scores for this one to get to the over, and I’m not sure we’re going to see enough possessions to make that happen. These two teams combined for 36 points in their first meeting last year, and then just 26 in their second meeting (which was the one in Oakland). Those matchups averaged 16.5 points in the first half. Both teams have been relatively low scoring all season.
LAC ML (-125)
This is a tough game to pick, but the numbers, trends and momentum point to the Chargers. LA is 6-1 ATS in the past seven games of this matchup, winning four of the past five games outright and covering the spread in four of the past five trips to Oakland. The Chargers are a tremendous road team, going 9-3 ATS in their past 12 away from home. Rivers has covered four straight in Oakland by almost eight points per game and is 9-4 straight up in this stadium in his career. Rivers is also tremendous on short weeks, per The Action Network — on six or fewer days between games, Rivers has gone 23-8 ATS in his career.
