Seahawks edge out 49ers in NFL simulation — 3/29/20

In a tightly contested simulation that would’ve brought a smile to the face of Jim Harbaugh, Seattle outlasted San Francisco 10-7 this evening on DraftKings. Still, despite the underwhelming offensive performances on both sides, each starting tight end found a way to shine. Will Dissly ($7,000; 13.0 DKFP) hauled in three passes for 40 yards in the win, while also opening the game’s scoring with a touchdown reception mid-way through the second quarter. As for George Kittle ($9,400; 18.6 DKFP), the All-Pro was the contest’s leading receiver with five catches for 76 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Alvin Kamara and the Saints take down the Seahawks in Overtime — 4/5/20

The Saints went into Seattle and knocked off the Seahawks, 19-13, after trailing for most of the game. Ted Ginn Jr. ($5,600; 18 DKFP) had six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown that gave the Saints the lead before the Seahawks kicked a field goal to force overtime. On the first possession of overtime, Ginn had another pivotal catch setting up Alvin Kamara ($9,600; 14.3 DKFP), who capped the drive with a rushing touchdown and had two catches for eight yards to go with 55 yards rushing. Seattle’s touchdown came on a pass from Russell Wilson ($10,800; 14.72 DKFP) to Will Dissly ($7,400; 17.9 DKFP). While the game wasn’t high scoring, it was a close and entertaining contest.

Seahawks roll in Tuesday’s simulated game — 4/7/20

A late Falcons’ TD made it look close, but the Seahawks comfortably romped to a 27-21 win in Tuesday’s simulated showdown. Don’t tell real-life Pete Carroll, but this is what happens when you let Russell Wilson ($11,400; 20.06 DKFP) and the passing game control the offense. Wilson got credit for “only” two passing TDs, but that’s only because a sideline TD toss to DK Metcalf ($5,000; 18.1 DKFP) was officially ruled a lateral – a tough break for the 67% of users who had Russ in their lineups. Wilson also logged 134 passing yards and 67 yards rushing. The box score credits Metcalf with three catches for 29 yards and one receiving TD on top of his two-yard “rushing” TD.

Seahawks come from behind to beat Vikings with impressive late drive — 4/18/20

For most of the fourth quarter, it didn’t look like the Seahawks were going to be able to pull out a win. Just like in real life, they had Russell Wilson ($11,600) to turn the tide late. He orchestrated a touchdown drive with time winding down to give Seattle a 21-20 win. The Seahawks had to convert a fourth down in the red zone and, ultimately, the drive ended with Wilson rushing for a game-winning touchdown, giving him 21.72 DKFP for the game. In a losing effort, Adam Thielen ($8,000) had another big game for the Vikings. As the number two receiver, he constantly finds himself in favorable matchups and he once again cashed in with 32.4 DKFP.

Panthers edge Seahawks in Madden sim thriller– 4/22/20

This game was quiet through halftime, but things got exciting in the second half. Christian McCaffrey ($10,000; 22.5 DKFP) came alive for a pair of rushing touchdowns, and Curtis Samuel ($5,600; 24.7 DKFP) hauled in a bomb to put Carolina ahead late. Samuel was the key piece in the captain spot for the 24-17 Carolina victory, racking up over 37 DKFP at just 10.5% ownership. C.J. Prosise ($1,000; 21.5 DKFP) was the unlikely hero on the slate, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown, going over 20X value.

A.J. Brown has a big game as the Titans’ defense stifles the Seahawks — 4/24/20

A.J. Brown ($8,200) was a monster for Tennessee, making him the optimal play in the Captain’s slot by a mile. He had over 100 receiving yards and hauled in a touchdown to finish with 25.8 DKFP. Corey Davis also had a solid game, ending up with 15.9 DKFP and touchdown of his own. The two receivers accounted for basically all of the Titans’ offense. Will Dissly ($7,400) had the only decent game for the Seahawks. He had a team-high 76 receiving yards and scored 18.6 DKFP. It wasn’t nearly enough for Seattle, who fell to the Titans by a final score of 19-14.

Chiefs rally to defeat Seahawks in Madden simulation — 4/27/20

It really seemed like this wasn’t going to be Patrick Mahomes’ ($11,600; 33.1 DKFP) game. At one point in the second-half of Monday’s simulation against Seattle, the Kansas City QB found himself down 15 points and without a touchdown. Well, as we know from the real-life Mahomes, those kinds of things can change quickly. The Chiefs ripped off 21 consecutive points to win this one in OT by a final tally of 27-21, with the former MVP leading the charge. Mahomes finished with an eye-popping 402 passing yards and three TDs, while Sammy Watkins ($7,200; 35.0 DKFP) collected 170 receiving yards and the game-winning score. What a way to wrap up DraftKings Player Appreciation Night.

Ravens rally to take down Seahawks in Madden simulation — 5/1/20

The Ravens had been down as much as 14 points mid-way through the fourth quarter, but, suddenly, Baltimore’s offense started to actually look like themselves. The Ravens eventually won Friday night’s simulation, 27-21, in OT and they can thank Lamar Jackson ($11,400; 28.5 DKFP) for finally decided to come alive. Jackson – who was captained in over 30% of lineups – shook off a rough start to finish this contest with 18 consecutive completions. The final one of those passes? Just the game-winning touchdown to Mark Andrews ($7,400; 28.5 DKFP). It was the tight end’s eighth reception of the evening, as he’d wind up with 125 yards to go along with that score.

Patriots rally past the Seahawks and hold on for a 25-23 win– 5/3/20

In a fun afternoon simulation, the Patriots fell behind early and held on late to improve to 7-2 in their sims by knocking off the Seahawks. Seattle jumped out early on two touchdowns from DK Metcalf ($6,200; 36.2 DKFP), who finished with just five catches but 162 yards. New England answered with two touchdowns from Mohamed Sanu ($5,600; 18.7 DKFP) and took an eight-point lead in the last few minutes of the game after a score by Julian Edelman ($9,600; 16.5 DKFP). The Seahawks answered with a strike to Will Dissly ($7,600; 21.5 DKFP), but Dont’a Hightower knocked away the two-point conversion that would have tied the game. Both Russell Wilson ($11,600; 26.4 DKFP) and Tom Brady ($11,000; 23.22 DKFP) had strong production as well.

Seahawks best Texans in a Madden sim shootout– 5/5/20

Russell Wilson ($11,600; 30.64 DKFP) and Deshaun Watson ($10,400; 28.18 DKFP) each threw three touchdowns, with Wilson adding a two-point conversion and 48 rushing yards, while Watson ran for 87 yards. D.K. Metcalf ($6,200; 26.4 DKFP) and Tyler Lockett ($9,600; 29.3 DKFP) both went for over 100 yards and a touchdown in this 31-21 shootout, with Lockett securing the two-point conversion as well. Jason Myers ($3,800; 13 DKFP) was also crucial, knocking in three field goals and both extra-points. DeAndre Hopkins ($10,800; 34 DKFP) was Watson’s prime target, posting a 9-100-2 line in a losing effort for Houston.

Chiefs hold on to defeat Cowboys in Madden simulation — 5/8/20

You sort of had a feeling Dak Prescott ($10,800; 26.0 DKFP) was going to find his groove again this evening. It’s not like Dallas’ pivot had been terrible in recent games, but, in the Cowboys’ past three simulations, Prescott had only managed to throw two touchdown passes. Let’s just say that wasn’t an issue in a 24-10 victory over Seattle. Prescott threw three TDs, racked up 218 passing yards, then, simply for good measure, scrambled for another 53 yards on the ground. Jason Witten ($6,600; 15.3 DKFP) proved to be Prescott’s favorite target by the final whistle, catching five passes for 43 yards and a score.

Jaguars outlast Seahawks in Madden simulation– 5/10/20

If you though Minshew Mania was over, think again. In this afternoon’s stream between Jacksonville and Seattle, the rookie QB was basically unstoppable. Gardner Minshew ($10,200; 34.0 DKFP), who had thrown for fewer than 200 yards in four-straight games, somehow racked up 476 yards and three touchdowns in the Jaguars’ eventual 27-24 victory. So, as you might expect, a lot of Jacksonville receiving options also had massive performances. Dede Westbrook ($6,400; 26.6 DKFP) had eight catches and 156 yards; D.J. Chark ($9,000; 25.2 DKFP) hauled in a pair of TDs; while James O’Shaughnessy ($6,600; 20.9 DKFp) registered six grabs for 119 yards of his own.

Raiders come out ahead of Seahawks in defensive overtime game– 5/14/20

The final score of this game was 13-10, so there wasn’t much fantasy production to speak of. The one standout performer was Hunter Renfrow ($3,600; 23 DKFP). He had exactly 100 receiving yards and scored a touchdown to reward fantasy players who had faith in the rookie wideout. Renfrow was the top fantasy producer in the game and was only 1.7% owned in the Captain’s spot. In the loss, Russell Wilson ($11,400; 17.6 DKFP) wasn’t able to muster much offense in what should have been an easy matchup. He had just 220 passing yards, bu he rushed for a touchdown to save his stat line.

Seahawks beat the Browns in OT, 26-20– 5/15/20

This Madden simulation went into an extra period, but it was Seattle who prevailed over Cleveland. Russell Wilson ($11,200) led the way for the Seahawks, throwing for two scores and rushing for another. He scored 29.58 DKFP. For the Browns, Kareem Hunt (CPT; $4,500) was an active receiver, catching four balls for 84 yards and a touchdown. His 31.35 DKFP in the Captain spot was a fabulous value. The rest of the winning lineup contained Baker Mayfield ($10,400), Odell Beckham ($10,200), David Njoku ($7,000) and Will Dissley ($6,600). It was a 25-way tie for first.

Seahawks hold on in simulated win Tuesday– 5/19/20

Russell Wilson ($11,800; 26.5 DKFP) and the Seahawks withstood a late surge from the Rams Tuesday, emerging with a 34-24 win. Wilson threw for 250 yards and two TDs, and he added another 25 yards and one TD on the ground. Buoyed by stats accrued during their failed comeback, all of the next-best DFS producers wore Rams’ yellow. Jared Goff ($10,600; 24.08 DKFP) threw 327 yards and two TDs. Of those, 118 yards and one TD went to Brandin Cooks ($7,000; 24.8 DKFP). Todd Gurley ($8,400; 18.9 DKFP) rounded out the game’s top four with 80 yards and one TD rushing in addition to 29 yards through the air.

Packers hold on to defeat Seahawks in Madden simulation– 5/21/20

In what could be described as a classic Russell Wilson ($11,400; 31.2 DKFP) script, Seattle’s quarterback carried his team this evening, but it wasn’t quite enough against Aaron Rodgers ($11,000; 19.3 DKFP) and Green Bay. Still, that doesn’t take away from the amazing performance. Wilson joined only a handful of QBs who have managed to scramble for over 100 yards in a stream, finishing the contest with 104 yards on the ground and 170 yards through the air. He’d also manage both a rushing and passing touchdown. Now to be completely outdone, Rodgers was good, too. In fact, the former MVP registered 210 passing yards to go along with three TDs in the 21-18 victory.

Seahawks romp in Tuesday simulation– 5/26/20

Russell Wilson ($12,000; 22.96 DKFP) led the way as Seattle cruised to a 17-3 win over the Bills in Tuesday’s simulation. Russ single-handedly accounted for pretty much all of the game’s offensive production, throwing for 174 yards and two TDs while rushing for another 80 yards. The only other players with more than 12 DKFP were his top receivers, Tyler Lockett ($10,400; 20.1 DKFP) and DK Metcalf ($6,600; 15.2 DKFP). Lockett racked up 90 yards, while Metcalf ended up with 52, and both scored. The leading scorer for the Bills was Robert Foster ($4,200; 11.1 DKFP), who caught four passes for 71 yards.

Mike Williams continue to shine in 17-14 win over Seahawks — 5/28/20

Williams ($6,400) is cementing himself as a Madden fantasy darling with his consistency each and every simulation. With a very affordable salary attached to him, Williams nearly hit the 100-yard receiving bonus by making four receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown, good for 19.2 DKFP in the FLEX and 28.8 in the captain spot. It was a great bounce back for the WR2 in the Chargers offense, who was coming off two games in which he combined for just 12.7 DKFP. Despite that, he was still averaging 18 DKFP throughout this season. On the Seahawks, D.K. Metcalf ($6,200) was another good mid-tier option, making three catches for 90 yards and a touchdown en route to a 17.7 DKFP afternoon.

Dolphins upset Seahawks in Madden simulation — 5/31/20

Well, that didn’t go the way I’m sure a lot of people expected it to go. Miami jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and never really looked back in its 24-21 victory over Seattle on Sunday. Leading the charge for the Dolphins was DeVante Parker ($9,600; 26.2 DKFP), who finished the contest with four catches for 132 yards and the eventual game-winning touchdown. Still, despite the loss, the Seahawks’ two best offensive players still managed to get their stats. Russell Wilson ($11,000; 30.6 DKFP) threw for 349 yards and three scores, with two of those TDs hauled in by Tyler Lockett ($10,400, 33.2 DKFP). The wideout would wind up with seven receptions for 122 yards overall.
