The NBA rolls on tonight with a tight five-game slate, with three of the games sporting high game totals, rich with fantasy goodness. Here are my favorite studs and values to help you build your lineups. If you have any questions, reach out to me on Twitter @JasonWalkerDFS.

Point Guard

Damian Lillard – POR at HOU – $9,600 – Very dependent on whether HOU PG Patrick Beverley plays (he’s questionable as of now), but Lillard hit the value threshold for this salary just two games ago against Denver and would be very much in the mix if unencumbered by the Rockets pesky PG.

Ricky Rubio – MIN vs. PHI – $6,200 – There is a threat of blowout, but Rubio has jumped right into his role as facilitator for the Timberwolves, being in the top ten in assist points and leading the league in assist ratio.

Other Options – Derrick Rose ($5,400)

Patrick Beverley – HOU vs. POR – $4,400 – If he’s good to go, Beverley surpassed this value threshold last season, prior to the playoffs, fairly regularly. Now, with Mike D’Antoni in charge, there good reason to believe, along with the very high 222 game total, that he’ll be able to complete the task again.

Sergio Rodriguez – PHI at MIN – $5,200 – Rodriguez is fifth in the league in assist points, sixth in assist ratio and 12th in touches per game. He’s involved and Rubio, his defender, has a very high 114.1 defensive rating. All of which means that Rodriguez should be busy and will be successful tonight.

Other Options – Jerian Grant ($3,500, if Rondo is out again)

Shooting Guard

Jimmy Butler – CHI at UTA – $8,400 – Tourney play only here for me, as the game total is low at 192 because, Utah. Jimmy has been getting the peripherals (17.5 non-scoring DraftKings points per game) and free throws (10 per 36 minutes) to make it work.

Rodney Hood – UTA vs. CHI – $5,500 – With no George Hill tonight, Hood’s usage rises 6-7% and it should be Gordon Hayward that gets the Jimmy Butler Defensive Treatment, leaving Hood with a lot of volume to meet his moderate price tag.

Other Options – James Harden ($12,400), Zach LaVine ($6,100)

Eric Gordon – HOU vs. POR – $5,000 – The high total, a home game and a lot of attention being paid to James Harden gives Gordon the ceiling to hit 30-35 DK points tonight, like he did against the Spurs last week.

Josh Richardson – MIA vs. MIL – $5,200 – With Justise Winslow out, Richardson is the biggest beneficiary, evidenced by his 36 DK point outing last game with Winslow out. The game should be tight (Heat three point favorites), with an alright 200 game total to keep Richardson’s minutes high.

Other Options – Dion Waiters ($4,600)

Small Forward

Carmelo Anthony – NYK at WAS – $7,400 – Not the most exciting play, but Anthony still dominates usage in New York (29.4 raw usage %) and the total on this game is sneaky high at 209 and projects to be real close and that would have to mean ‘Melo had a lot to do with that. He did play a lot of minutes last night (36), so keep an eye on updates, but if he’s good to go, I like him in this spot.

Jabari Parker – MIL at MIA – $6,300 – Parker does trail teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo for usage on the team, but he has a strong 26% raw usage anyway, and Giannis may have to look to Jabari more tonight as Hassan Whiteside awaits The Greek Freak when he drives.

Other Options – Andrew Wiggins ($7,300)

Trevor Ariza – HOU vs. POR – $5,600- He’s been getting a lot of minutes and doing a lot with them, scoring over 30 DK points in four of his last five games.

Allen Crabbe – POR at HOU – $4,100 – There should be enough volume for Crabbe, who has received over 30 minutes over playing time in each of the last three games, to get to 30 DK points in this game, as he did against the Kings on 11/11 (33.75).

Other Options – None.

Power Forward

Kristaps Porzingis – NYK at WAS – $6,800 – With the aforementioned high total and Porzingis’ 25% raw usage, even with Melo and Derrick Rose on the court, the Knicks big man will dare Markieff Morris and Marcin Gortat to come outside to guard him, and I think he can get 40-45 DK points in this game.

Markieff Morris – WAS vs. NYK – $6,200 – John Wall will likely be on a minutes limit, and Bradley Beal is questionable which would take Morris’ raw usage up from his standard 21-22% up to around 25%. With the scoring implied in this game, Morris will be asked to do his share against Porzingis, who has a personal 108 defensive rating.

Other Options – Gorgui Dieng ($5,700)

Trey Lyles UTA vs. CHI – $4,100 – George Hill is out again, and if the rotations hold up like the last game Hill missed, Lyles could see a repeat of his 32 minute, 31.5 DK point outing.

Dario Saric – PHI at MIN – $4,500 – Really, whoever between Saric and Ersan Ilyasova doesn’t start with usage monster Joel Embiid is who goes in this spot. If it’s Saric, I think he’s a solid play a this salary point, given his nearly DK point per minute rate over his last five games.

Other Options – Montrezl Harrell ($3,000)

Hassan Whiteside – MIA vs. MIL – $8,700 – The top usage player on Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is in the top ten in drives to the hoop, meaning it could be feeding time for the Block Monster, Whiteside. The Miami big man has scored over 50 DK points in three of his last four games.

Joel Embiid – PHI at MIN – $6,100 – Even with half the game being available to him, Embiid’s extreme usage, free throw rate (third per 36 minute rate) and freedom to go all out given his limited minutes, raises his ceiling above 40 DK points, as he has done twice this season already.

Other Options – Karl Anthony-Towns ($8,600)

Clint Capela – HOU vs. POR – $5,100 – No Nene means that Capela will start and begin to compile the peripheral points, where he has collected 24 DK Net points (DK points per 36 minutes – points per 36 minutes) this season. Capela has been over 30 DK points in four of his last five games.

Joakim Noah – NYK at WAS – $4,400 – Capela has been good at the peripherals, but Noah is the GOAT, raking in over 29 DK points per 36 minutes in peripherals alone. He didn’t over do it last night, playing 24 minutes, but that didn’t stop the 37.75 DK point performance. Hard to expect a repeat, but he can get there.

Other Options – Robin Lopez ($4,700)

I am a promoter at DraftKings and am also an avid fan and user (my username is jaywalker72) and may sometimes play on my personal account in the games that I offer advice on. Although I have expressed my personal view on the games and strategies above, they do not necessarily reflect the view(s) of DraftKings and I may also deploy different players and strategies than what I recommend above.
