Who to target for an exciting Saturday of NBA contests across the hardwood:

POINT GUARD

STUDS

John Wall – WAS vs ORL – $8,900 – Wall has been incredibly solid this season and he is averaging 17.7ppg, 3.1rpg and 8.1apg for 41.5 DraftKings points.  He has produced less than 39 fantasy points just once through seven games.  The Orlando Magic have struggled against point guards this season and are in the bottom three for fantasy points allowed to the opposition.  Wall makes for a solid building block in all formats on Saturday.

Brandon Knight – PHO vs DEN – $7,100 – It seems like all of the poor fantasy defenses are in action tonight.  The Denver Nuggets are allowing the most fantasy points in The Association to point guards.  Knight has been steady and working well with SG Eric Bledsoe this season as evidenced by his 35.4 DraftKings points per game.  He has flashed 45+ production twice and is a fine alternate to John Wall if you are looking to save a little at this spot.

VALUES

T.J. McConnell – PHI at SA – $5,400 – This is an excellent contrarian play because most gamers are going to look at the price and matchup and move right along to other names on the list.  The Spurs have struggled against opposing point guards and are in the bottom three teams for most fantasy points given up.  McConnell has posted 25+ DraftKings points in five of his seven starts and three of those performances have been 34 fantasy points plus.  Don’t miss out on this sneaky opportunity.

SHOOTING GUARD

STUDS

Eric Bledsoe – PHO vs DEN – $8,100 – Saturday looks like a nice day to construct a mostly balanced lineup.  Bledsoe is at a very friendly price point when you look at his game logs and see that he has gone for 47+ fantasy points in three of his last four games.  The Nuggets backcourt is a bit of a sieve and in addition to allowing point guards to run amok, they are a bottom ten team against two-guards as well.

James Harden – HOU vs DAL – $10,100 – Of course The Beard is in a class by himself and this is a fine matchup against the Mavericks, however, he is more of a luxury on this Saturday slate than a necessity.

VALUES

Gary Neal – WAS vs ORL – $3,200 – With SG Bradley Beal sitting out practice on Friday with his bum shoulder, there is a pretty good chance that we will see Gary Neal in the starting five for the Wizards.  In as spot start on Wednesday against the Thunder he took 15 shots and posted 18.5 DraftKings points.  He should be in line for similar production if he is subbing for Beal again.

SMALL FORWARD

STUDS

Evan Fournier – ORL at WAS – $6,300 – Fournier continues to see his price tag increase, though he has earned every dollar.  Washington is really missing Paul Pierce’s defense this season and they are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.  Fournier and teammate Tobias Harris – $5,900 are solid options with safe floors and some upside available if SG Victor Oladipo misses another game with his concussion.

Harrison Barnes – GS vs BKN – $5,300 – Barnes is a steady play and with the Warriors 18 point favorites at home, there is a chance that Stephen Curry will get a little rest in this game.  That is the key to Barnes upside possibilities, since he is pretty much locked into a 25 DraftKing point baseline.

VALUES

Bojan Bogdanovic – BKN at GS – $3,800 – The Nets have been turning to Bogdanovic for more of the offense as evidenced by his 43 shot attempts over the last three games.  With the increased usage, he should have a solid 18-20 point floor and if the buckets are falling for him, he could approach 30 fantasy points.

POWER FORWARD

STUDS

LaMarcus Aldridge – SA vs PHI – $7,000 – Keep an eye on the news about Kawhi Leonard who is reportedly dealing with a respiratory infection.  This would be the perfect game to let him get a break and sip some chicken soup while staying warm.  If he is limited or out, we will want to pounce on LMA who should easily surpass the forty fantasy point plateau if he is the Spurs top option against the visiting 76ers.

Greg Monroe – MIL vs CLE – $8,200 – Monroe has thrived now that he an former teammate Andre Drummond are not getting in each other’s way on the low block.  All season the former Piston has been right around 40 fantasy points and he is about as safe a play as there is on his new home court.

VALUES

Kris Humphries – WAS vs ORL – $3,600 – Humphries makes for a nice discount play as he should be in line for 18-22 fantasy points against the soft Magic frontcourt.

Clint Capela – HOU vs DAL – $4,800 – If you have a few extra dollars to spend, it looks like Dwight Howard will be sitting out Saturday after playing on Friday night.  This should give extra minutes to Capela who has a great chance to double double at home against Dallas in this matchup.

CENTER

STUDS

Brook Lopez – BKN at GS – $6,900 – While Golden State is usually solid in the paint, they have been middle of the pack this season as Andrew Bogut is still working back into game shape.  Lopez is a terrific play at this price if you are willing to accept a little risk, since there is a good chance he will reward his backers with a 40 fantasy point performance.

VALUES

Zaza Pachulia – DAL at HOU – $5,600 – The secret is probably out now that Pachulia has produced 30+ DraftKings points in four of his last five games.  Tonight’s matchup bodes well for Zaza as long as Dwight Howard is on the bench for the second half of the Rockets back-to-back.  There are probably a few gamers that are not paying attention, so I am good with rostering the Georgian in all formats Saturday.

Marcin Gortat – WAS vs ORL – $5,300 – Though there have been several Wizards recommended, I will be capping my exposure to no more than three per lineup.  Gortat is a solid, though not spectacular option.  Keep in mind though, on some game slates we don’t have a lot of options to turn to.
