Kemba Walker – CHA at MIA – $8,400 – In this must win game, we should see Walker approach 40 minutes again. Over the last five contests in this series he is averaging 38.6 mpg, 26.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.2 apg, 2.4 combined blocks/steals and two made three-pointers which are worth a half point bonus in the DraftKings scoring system. All this adds up to 42.5 fantasy points per game and is a reasonable projection for today’s effort.
Damian Lillard – POR at GSW – $8,600 – Lillard has had some big games this season, including three of at least 49.8 DraftKings points. This includes games where he roasted the Dubs for 40 and 51 NBA points in January and then in February respectively. He has put in a lot of minutes since then and has looked a little ragged, but Portland has been fortunate with opponents’ injuries, so that should put some pep in his step on Sunday.
Shaun Livingston – GSW vs POR – $5,100 – Over the final four games of the first round series against Houston, Livingston averaged 27.5 mpg, 14.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 5.3 apg and 1.3 spg. This is a reasonable projection for him in this favorable matchup against Portland with Stephen Curry out of commission.
Klay Thompson – GSW vs POR – $8,200 – It will be up to Thompson to fill the scoring void for Stephen Curry and he has actually had a good year against the Trail Blazers. Through four meetings in the regular season he averaged 29.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 0.8 combined blocks/steals and just shy of 5 made three-pointers which are worth a half point bonus on DraftKings. He will be incredibly popular; however, he is the clear cut #1 two-guard on the board.
Dwyane Wade – MIA vs CHA – $8,000 – This is a loser leaves town match as the Hornets have backed the Heat into a Game 7 for the opening round. Both teams will be throwing everything they have out on the court tonight and we should see Wade play at least 35 minutes. Through ten games this year in both the regular and post season, D-Wade is averaging 30.4 mpg and 34.0 DraftKings points per game. That seems like a reasonable baseline projection and it would not be a surprise to see him reach the mid-40s in this matchup.
Rodney Stuckey – IND at TOR – $2,400 – With just three games today, we are going to need to find some value, and why not have the former Eastern Washington Eagle be they player we take? He has 20 fantasy point upside and in tournaments even if he rolls up just a 10 spot, at his extremely discounted price point it won’t end our day.
Paul George – IND at TOR – $10,100 – This is another Game 7 and PG13 has topped 50+ DraftKings points in four of the first six games. He is going to have to drag the Pacers to a win and he is an excellent option in all formats.
Luol Deng – MIA vs CHA – $6,500 – Through the first half dozen games of this series, Deng has put up at least 27 DraftKings points in each contest while averaging just shy of 33 fantasy points. Game 1 was his high water mark with 44.8 DraftKings points, so we know that is his ceiling, and in this must win game he should see close to 40 minutes as the Heat try to crush the dreams of the Hornets.
Andre Iguodala – GSW vs POR – $4,900 – With Curry out, Iguodala will assume some of the facilitating role along with Shaun Livingston and Draymond Green. At this price point it is going to be hard to pass up the safety of 20ish fantasy points and the potential to flirt with the forty fantasy point plateau in the event that things goes his way.
Draymond Green – GSW vs POR – $10,200 – Green is not cheap, but he has the ability to flirt with a triple-double in the absence of Stephen Curry. Through four regular season games, Dray Dray averaged just over 50 DraftKings points, and he should be in that range again Sunday.
Myles Turner – IND at TOR – $5,500 – Turner has performed well with 30+ DraftKings points in three of the last four games in this first round series. The Pacers will be counting on big things from their rookie, and he is at a fair price point and can be used in all formats to fill the PF or F position. Any other forward in this contest player pool just isn’t safe enough. So in my opinion, we are really choosing between Green and Turner.
Jonas Valanciunas – TOR vs IND – $6,700 – We have seen Big Val post some massive games, but we have also seen him struggle to get much beyond the 25 fantasy point range. Tournaments only, but I think most will be looking elsewhere.
Marreese Speights – GSW vs POR – $2,800 – There is a projected 210 points to be scored in this game, and the Warriors are nearly double digit home favorites. This means we may see an extra turn in the rotation for the Ace of Speights if this game is well in hand. This is a tournament only play, but Speights does have 10x upside (and of course single digit fantasy point downside). A safer play might be teammate Andrew Bogut – $3,700 as even though he has limited minutes, he contributes across the stat sheet and blocks/rebounds really do add up quickly.
Frank Kaminsky – CHA at MIA – $3,600 – This all rides on the status of Nicolas Batum who sat out the second half of Game 6 after re-injuring his foot. If he is out and/or Kaminsky gets the start, he is a tremendous tournament option as he has access to 25+ DraftKings points, and we have seen him go for 28 fantasy points in two of the last four games in this series.
